Hello everyone...!! -I am grateful to share this new progress with you structural system course WYA+ waleed Yasin. -The course revolves around the types of construction systems in general and the systems fit for use in the architecture and adapted in the architecture to reach the desired architectural form starting from the solid slab system to pre-casting concrete and composite systems. -Egyptian code, armaments and concrete requirements to be available during implementation, as well as American code. -Then apply some projects like residential villa and so on. -The final project in the course was the distribution of the structural system of study buildings containing administrative rooms, staff offices, classrooms, halls and gathering places with different dimensions. -Several structural systems have been used, including solid slab, paneled beams and frames depending on the nature of the building and activity within the vacuum. - I recommend WYA platform it has useful courses for undergraduate student. - Thanks, Dr/ Waleed Yasin for your efforts. #Standards #WorkingGroups #WorkingGroupCoordination #Habitats #HabitatTeams #HabitatTeamCoordination #TransitionTeams #TransitionTeamCoordination

Thanks to SLB Education, the The University of Texas at Austin is pioneering a new approach to architectural education with the next iteration of its innovative design studio, “Time for Timber-FRAMING.” Through collaboration with the National Forests and Grasslands in Texas, students are engaged in real-world projects that equip them with the skills needed for modern wood construction systems and foster a deep understanding of wood as a material, its properties, and its role within sustainable architectural practices. Removing Parts 1, 2 and 3 a mistake: RIBA ( Royal Institute of British Architects ) responds to ARB ( Architects Registration Board ) consultation on education reform RIBA has published its formal response to Tomorrow’s Architects, the Architects Registration Board’s (ARB) consultation on education and training reforms.

Connecting the old and the new when it comes to structures is something architects and contractors have to manage all the time; how to make the new fit with the original without it jarring or looking out of place. Sometimes the best approach is to match what's there, and at other times to take advantage of the contrast. This is well demonstrated in this case study. A new teaching block at Dene Magna School is connected to the original with Spaceshade covered walkways, which contrast well with the existing canopy. https://lnkd.in/e8n4D6GZ

These methods enhance the aesthetic and functional qualities of the structures, demonstrating a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation. 🌎 These techniques remind us of the Creator’s wisdom in providing us with natural resources that, when used wisely, can minimize environmental impact while providing safe, beautiful habitats. In regions prone to earthquakes, for example, traditional bamboo construction, known for its flexibility and strength, offers a model for building earthquake-resistant modern structures. 🎯 Explore architectural heritage by visiting historical sites or participating in workshops on traditional building techniques. It's truly heartening to see that, five years after graduating from my Part 2 Master in Architecture program at Plymouth University, the work I collaborated on with my partners, Charlie Pontikas-Glenton and Eva Pontika-Glenton, is still prominently featured on their website. Our academic project garnered recognition through several awards, including: 🟣Nomination for the Silver RIBA President's Medals Student Awards 2018 🟣Gold Medal winner for the Creative Conscience Award: Architecture, Engineering & Interior Design 2018 🟣Sustainable award for Studio Design work presented by Stride Treglown Architects 2018 🟣Nomination for the 3D Reid Architects 2018 Student Awards This project, set in Macau, China, addressed the formidable challenges posed by rapid climate change and the predicted rise in sea levels by 2100, which many coastal cities like Macau face. Our proposal introduced an innovative solution—an artefact known as a "groyne," shaping a dynamic landscape. This ecosystem served as a flood management device, essentially a natural sponge safeguarding the city. The presence of this device within the ever-evolving landscape challenged conventional notions about the values of nature, landscape, and ecology through its perpetual transformation. The concept of "The Groyne" was conceived as a catalyst, and the implementation of these groynes marked the initial step—a deep excavation into the land allowing the new landscape to gradually form from the accumulation of sandbanks over time. Our inspiration drew from Paul Virilio's work, particularly "Bunker Archeology," where he explored the enigmatic German bunkers that lie abandoned along the French coast. These haunting remnants leave indelible scars on the landscape. Our proposition featured a robust concrete spine characterised by its sheer walls, designed to withstand the pressure and force of water at varying depths.
