After a month of August dedicated to the sea and the beach... Just kidding, it was dedicated to the #additivemanufacturing in the #Maritime sectors. Now VoxelMatters is releasing a fantastic new #AMFocus #eBook featuring tons of great (and 100% free-to-access) content as usual. First, we focus on one of the companies that has done the most to bring metal AM parts to the sea: SPEE3D. This cool Australian company has come a long way with its #coldspray #metalAM technology, establishing a leadership position in #maritimeAM, not just in Australia but also globally. The maritime sector has proven to be one of the most receptive, now even more so with the new #NAB (nickel-aluminum-bronze) alloy. Next, we got into software with another interesting #polymerAM story from Downunder (I guess the fact that Australia is surrounded by lots of Ocean has something to do with it): how #LFAM specialist Hyperion Systems built a #3Dprintedboat with some help from Aibuild software. Then we get into the analysis: for the first time, we share data from the VoxelMatters database specific to AM hardware, materials and services revenues in the maritime segment. Do you have any idea how large this segment is and how big it could get? Read the article and find out. Finally a map of a few key players in this segment that we are keeping our eyes on: AML3D (ASX:AL3), Pelagus 3D, DNV, RAMLAB, Titomic and MX3D.
