Infinite Orbits selected by France for two GEO in orbit services missions! 🍾 Alongside our partner Telespazio France, we have been awarded not one but two contracts to demonstrate rendezvous and docking capabilities from 2026! - A first mission demonstrating an inspection of EUMETSAT's Meteosat 8 passivated asset, using our #OrbitGuard servicer, - A second mission with our life-extension servicer #Endurance to dock to and extend the lifespan of an end-of-life telecommunications satellite for 5 additional years. 💫 This week was a busy week for #e_GEOS commitments ❗❗ 📍 At #e_GEOS Headquarters, the final meeting of the #ARCOS 🐻❄️🏔️🧊 (#ARCtic Observatory for #Copernicus SEA Service) R&D project was held ❗   🫱🏻🫲🏼 The meeting was attended by all members of the Consortium chaired by e-GEOS: SatCen, GMV, #FMI, COWI, ICEYE, Politecnico di Milano, also representatives of the European Commission from the #HaDEA, DG DEFIS Communication, European Maritime Safety Agency.   ❗The characteristics and technical potential of the #platform were explained and complementarities with other #Copernicus services were discussed.   ❗The #ARCOS project from the beginning had as one of its goals to develop a service covering monitoring for a warning system for the #Arctic #marine and terrestrial environment based on #EarthObservation integrated data particularly #SAR data. ➕more info about the project👇🏻 https://lnkd.in/ecp5MuvX Leonardo Space | Telespazio | Agenzia Spaziale Italiana | GAF AG

This announcement triggers the greatest sense of achievement of my time at #InfiniteOrbits in all possible ways. when Infinite Orbits settled in Toulouse, its International DNA separated it from the establishement. Without a pedigree of French Diplomas, nor nationally famous advisors, the succes was only through facts and #Demonstration in a proper #Newspace fashion (OrbitGuard1 launched April 23 in GEO). Barely any European company has been able to be both commercially viable and enter the risky #Inorbitservice market. Tomorrow, the reference of commercial In space activities may not be US nor multinational company, but an international initiative led by the most brilliant people I met, Akshay Gulati, Manos Koumandakis, Adel Haddoud. Undeniably the #France2030 programme, with support of CNES has successfully achieved to attract international talent, growth and capital in France 🇫🇷 with clear commercial export results. I'm glad to have contributed to the success of IO and have taken the challenge of joining a team of 5 in 2022. Not the least, binding with international partners LMO, Nurjana Technologies Lambda-X High-Tech, Vyoma,Dawn Aerospace Politecnico di Milano Telespazio France Deimos Engenharia ARIANESPACE AVS Added Value Solutions Safran in no less than 3 fantastic projects for the European Commission Unfortunately I had to focus also on the growth of my young family and couldn't do all assignments in parallel :-), leaving Marion Andrieux by far the most talented, to orchestrate the difficult phase of #Execution

🚀 The first launch of Ariane 6 is targeted for July 9, 2024 from Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana, as announced this morning by ESA Director General Josef Aschbacher and members of the Task Force at the #ILA Berlin Air Show. With 30 missions in our order book, Ariane 6 has already gained the trust of institutional and commercial customers. We are preparing to make Ariane 6’s second launch by the end of the year, followed by a steady rise to around ten launches a year once we reach cruising speed. It represents a splendid challenge for ARIANESPACE and our partners. A puzzling but still noteworthy step forward for Chinese commercial space companies. A couple of weeks ago, GEELY space subsidiary #GeeSpace signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with #iSpace, one of China's first commercial launch companies 🚀 💲 🚗 A few takeaways: 🛰️ GeeSpace plans to complete the 72-satellite first phase of its constellation by EOY 2025. The constellation will provide enhanced navigation services to cars and possibly other vehicles 🚀 iSpace has not progressed very quickly in its nearly 10-year history. The company is 4/8 in launch attempts, with their best year being 2023 when they successfully launched 2 Hyperbola-1 rockets ❓With iSpace having cancelled the Hyperbola-2 rocket, and with the Hyperbola-3 likely years away, it seems that GeeSpace has contracted for Hyperbola-1, which is a small (~200kg mass to orbit) solid-fueled rocket.
