[Case of success] Barcelona, Leader in Maritime Logistics and a Sustainability Benchmark     The Port de Barcelona (Spain) shines as a success story in the global port industry, with its Monzon Intermodal Terminal (TIM) standing out as a model of sustainability and diversification. This visionary strategy has positioned it as a benchmark in the port sector.     In the maritime world, innovation and diversification are key, and the Port of Barcelona has understood this perfectly. By creating inland terminals connected by rail, it has expanded its reach to customers within the Iberian Peninsula and beyond. This has enhanced supply chain management and proved crucial in critical moments, such as the COVID-19 lockdown.     TIM, established in 2011, is an outstanding example of this vision. The diversity of its services has grown to cater to a wide range of customers, from chemical shipments to agricultural products. Its commitment to rail transport, sustainability, and diversification has been a recipe for success.     The incorporation of agroTIM in 2019 has enabled the development of logistical solutions for products like cereals and corn. Now, soy from Brazil and Argentina joins this list. TIM also stands out as the only terminal in the Iberian Peninsula handling refrigerated, bulk, and dry containers.     The termoTIM Terminal, which started in 2020, sends meat products to the Asian market daily, a remarkable logistical feat.
