🤓⚙️ Mad Engineers Unite! ⚙️🤓 Small-Batch Production: Still Alive and Kicking! Big shoutout to the fearless souls who dare to venture into the world of electronico-mechanical production! 🛠️🎛️ At the Hackaday Supercon, Mehrdad Majzoobi shared some top-tier tricks for small-batch manufacturing, and honestly... I'm obsessed. Particularly genius: the rail mod solution for the aluminum enclosure. Affordable, flexible, and downright brilliant! 💡💸 Who knew extruded metal could be this cool? From compression-molded keypads that won't break the bank to hiding 3D-printed sins under classy laser-cut wood veneers (fancy, right?), this talk had it all! Producing high-quality hardware without selling your soul is possible, and these mad geniuses are leading the charge. #HackadaySupercon #MadEngineering #SmallBatchHacks #HardwareIsHardButWorthIt #CrazyButSmart source : https://lnkd.in/eg6UWrXB

The number 1 reason machinists fail with nano-tech: They focus on understanding, not implementing. • Reading endless white papers on nano-coatings • Trying to overhaul entire production lines overnight • Asking how to save millions before testing on one tool You know what this leads to right? Analysis paralysis. Here's what successful shops do instead: 1. Focus only on one nano-tech application 2. Reverse-engineer an ideal machining process 3. Document real-world results and improvements 4. Laser-focus on optimizing a single production line 5. Gradually expand nano-tech use across operations Stop trying to master nano-tech before you use it. Start using nano-tech while you're learning about it. Consistent, incremental improvements are how you outperform 99% of competitors.

We solve real manufacturing process problems. Check out the photo. It reads..."walking & wasting time going back and forth from robot line to office" Followed with their own suggestion... "can we put a button that will alarm the engrs. about the problem" Our MES comes with such a "button" Solving common problems with real solutions.

TOYOTA KATA & SCIENTIFIC THINKING AT ADM Please enjoy this 30-minute video about Toyota Kata at ADM, with Kort Branscome and Beth Carrington. Kort gives a quick overview of the role of scientific thinking and the TK way of practicing it. He then explains how ADM has approached ST/TK practice in an IT environment with 9 'Kata cohorts'. This is a good, compact video for anyone curious about practicing ST/TK in non-manufacturing applications. 👇

Manufacturing is cool….I always loved sand casting. This video is a masterpiece as it offers us time to reflect on the concept of Quality. I can see experienced craftsmen, simple repeatable steps, tooling with descent locating points and a controlled setup for final dimensioning. If the steel making process is properly controlled then the whole cycle has my approval….plus it seems to be paperless. Not all industries need a clean room type environment to operate or a 1000 units per day capacity. Not all products need a 6 sigma failure rate. Not all industries need LMS along with in-class training and SOJT. Not all industries need Hollolens devices or AI powered step-by-step digital projection system…actually I think no industry needs these tech but that’s up for another discussion. Not all industries need RFID tracking systems for employees and parts. Not all industries need to capture 50 000 datasets per hour and crunch them in endless analytics. I agree that we can question the HSE but that is an entirely different field of discussion. Feel free to comment.

🌟 Excited to have presented at the 12th TÜDÖKSAD Türkiye Döküm Sanayicileri Derneği International Foundry Congress! 🌍 I had the opportunity to share our breakthrough on End-to-End Traceability of Sand-Casting Production with the #CDOT Code. At COSMODOT, we’re pushing the boundaries of industrial traceability by integrating innovative (bar)codes into one of the most challenging production environments— this time partnering with EKU for sand casting process. 📌 Our innovative #CDOT Code is directly marked on sand molds, providing real-time visibility throughout the entire casting process and beyond. This technology not only prevents confusing process sequencing but also enables defect/repair analysis and boosts overall production efficiency. Some key benefits we've observed: 🚀 Increased workforce efficiency and process efficiency 🏗 Reduced scrap ratio and maintenance costs 📊 Enhanced production planning and quality control We’re paving the way for smarter, data-driven manufacturing, and I couldn’t be more excited to share this progress with industry leaders. Feel free to connect if you’re interested in learning more about how our #CDOT Code can transform your production processes! #Industry40 #SandCasting #Traceability #AIinManufacturing #Cosmodot #DigitalTransformation #TUDOKSAD2024 #SmartManufacturing #CDOTCode #IndustrialAI #FoundryTech

That is a good example of what engineering development looks like. Not only thrust/weight has been increased as well design become leaner. It looks that it has less components and cleaner look compare to previous versions! Thanks to many engineering iterations, lots of testing, lessons learned, new technologies (additive manufacturing tech etc.), thousands of engineering hours and more make that it happen... Looking forward to see Raptor 4!
