But what happens when Santa finds chaos instead of cookies? Ah, Christmas! The season of joy, family, and… chaos if you're not careful. 🎄 Dear parent, don’t let the holiday fun turn your home into Santa’s naughty list headquarters. Here's how to set rules without turning into the Grinch: 🖤𝗡𝗼 𝘂𝗻𝘄𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗶𝗳𝘁𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴—unless you want your kid declaring, “I’m bored!” on Christmas Eve. 🎁 💛𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀—because hoarding all the mandazi and nyama for yourself will spark a sibling war. 🍗🥳 🖤𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘀, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲—or risk watching them scroll through TikTok while you sing carols to yourself. 🎶 Keep it festive, keep it funny, and don’t forget to remind them: “Even Santa checks his list twice!” 🎅 How do you keep the holiday spirit alive and sane? Share your tips below!

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas! 🎄 While this season can bring joy, it can also be a tough time for many. Here are a few Christmas considerations to keep in mind: 1️⃣ Don’t be afraid to say, “I’m struggling” or “This time of year is hard.” It’s brave to open up, and being trusted is a gift in itself. 2️⃣ If someone shares their struggles with you, remember you don’t need to have all the answers. Just listening can make a world of difference. 3️⃣ If you feel lost, reflect on the true meaning of Christmas—new life and new beginnings. Even when life feels unresolvable, change can bring hope. 4️⃣ Avoid comparing yourself to others. Social media often shows the highlights, not the full story. 5️⃣ If you’re in despair, please know help is available. Here’s a link to support numbers: https://lnkd.in/erj-M4D6 Take care of yourselves and each other. ❤️

Happy Friday, LinkedIn! This week on "Who Touched The Thermostat?" we dive into a timeless piece of holiday wisdom straight from Grandma’s Book of Hosting Tricks. Picture this: It’s the holidays, and your home is filled with laughter, cheer, and just a little too much lingering. You’re ready to wind things down, but those good ol’ fashioned Midwestern goodbyes? They’re stretching into their third hour. Grandma’s solution? Subtle but brilliant: quietly slip away to the thermostat and crank the heat all the way up. No need for awkward hints or bold declarations. Pretty soon, the rising temperature will send even the most dedicated chatters on their way. By the time they’re out the door, you’ll have your house (and your peace) back. This episode is a salute to all the holiday hosts who master the art of hospitality and the gentle nudge to wrap things up. Stay warm, stay clever, and keep this tip in your back pocket for those extended family gatherings! Tune in next week for more thermostat tales—and have a wonderful holiday season. 🎄🎅❄️

And a great Friday morning to all my Lovable LI Laff Lovers! December 27, 2024 -- most major 2024 holidays are in the rear-view mirror, but there's one more to come that pretty much everyone celebrates: New Year's Eve/Day! BUT. Before that happens in just a few days, here's a last look at Christmas and Hanukkah because I still have so many fun memes that I couldn't include in yesterday's post! And for those who don't know about dreidels -- the spinning top mentioned in one of these pictures -- it's an old way of having fun during Hanukkah. 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞: It's a gambling game where, after you ante up, the letter that comes up when you spin the top tells you what to do: take the whole pot, take half the pot, do nothing, or ante up again Got plans for New Year's, friends? 𝐎𝐇! Remember to check out the great fun posts from these other Friday Funsters: Britt Crawford, Chris Lenz, David Reed, & Jeremy Ben-Israel. Also check out our Sunday Punsters: Nick Smethurst, Julian Torrez, Rochelle Heath-Harris, & Steve Elliott! #Humor #Humour #Laughing #Jokes #RooksRocks #NewYear 💖As always, let's 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡, 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧, 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞, and 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 while we can! * * * * * * * * * ✅If you like this post and want to see more ... 🏃🏽Click "Follow" on my profile. 🔔𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐧𝐞, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 "𝐚𝐥𝐥" 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐲 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬.

𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗴𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿. First, instead of a word for the year, He's given me a glimpse into the future with a worship song for 2025 - 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘚𝘰𝘯𝘨 by Micah Tyler. I get literal chills when I listen anticipating what God has planned. Secondly, God is calling me to prioritize Him for the first seven days of January and place Him in the center of all of my plans. Before I set my year-long intentions, I've created seven intentions for these seven days: 1. Quiet the noise and step away from social media 2. Immerse myself in The Word daily 3. Dedicate time to prayer 4. Listen to a sermon series from the 2819 Church 5. Reflect on 2024, analyzing what worked and what didn't, then set personal and business intentions for 2025 (Tip: journal and pray over your intentions daily and see how big God can be. Crediting Jenny Marrs for this tip) 6. Organize healthy menus for easier meal planning 7. Commit to moving my body daily I'll be signing off for now to focus on these intentions, but I'm excited for my 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬. This short break is about renewal and realignment with God's purpose for my life. See you all soon, refreshed and ready for what 2025 has in store!
