In less than five months since staking this area, we are advancing to drill at our first target tenement, Rio Negro. The high grade REE clay surface samples collected are extremely promising and provide a solid foundation for our expectations of what lies below the ground. https://ow.ly/V5tp50R6cEQ #EQN #exploration #resources #ASX #rareearths #REE #criticalminerals

MineGeoTech Wednesday Wisdom. How about a break from sunset oranges and reds and lets have some aqua to blue, Indian Ocean coast just north of Cottesloe, Perth. What geotechnical hazards do you see in this picture. If you said unconsolidated sand, you nailed the answer. Just like all those deaths we hear about people suffocating in collapsed sand pits, free flowing loose sand is a major geotechnical hazard for pit wall design. sadly, many geologists pay very little attention to what is happening in the regolith and focus on fresh rock lithology. Regolith matters and can make or break a project. #geology, #geotechnical, #exploration, #mining.

As #PDAC gets undergoing today in #Totonto, here is a reminder of why Taiton Resources Limited is in #SouthAustralia. The #gawlerCraton has so much potential for metal discovery. The chase for a primary #molybdenum source is just starting. As we delve into the #Moly business, it has become very apparent that there is a clear visibility that a supply deficit is being created. Molybdenum is #criticalmetal #crioiticalminerls and the need for its existence in #steel #stainlesssteel #evcharging #superconductors is going to drive the business. A projected 3% YOY growth is over 100M Ibs of metals required in the coming years. If there are no new mines, supply will become CRITICAL. The Taiton Resources Limited #Highway project in South Australia is geared to discover an economic deposit. What is even more significant for the company is the introduction of the #Kingsgate Molybdenum project which is a historical #high-grade molybdenum mine and a potentially economic #highpuritysilica project. In regards to the Highway project, check out the #SamsoInsights with Anna Petts where she elaborates on this topic. https://lnkd.in/gsqMQM8y Check out www.samso.com.au and our new #SamsoInsights, a one-stop shop approach, where we are creating a community of like-minded investors. Onto carbonate-siliciclastic deposits in the Delaware Basin, Permian: Using 15 wells digitized from an article on the Upper Wolfcamp A formation by E. Kvale et al., we simulate the successive deposits of a sub-sea floor fan by modeling fan channels, overbank deposits, and terminal distributary networks while honoring the successive mud and turbidite deposits interpreted on the wells. The resulting model provides a granulometry trend that can be used to interpolate gamma-ray logs onto a reservoir model, a vast improvement over a simple variogram model. The model also provides better lateral and vertical heterogeneities than conventional modeling techniques as (1) we preserve thin mud layers, and (2) the channel network required to bring carbonate debris to the interpreted locations introduces many lateral discontinuities in the trend map. #geologicalmodeling, #forwardstratigraphicmodeling

Specimen of intersected collapse breccia whilst drilling a sediment hosted deposits on high-grade lead-silver mine located in the highly prospective Edmund Sedimentary Basin, in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia. Dark chlorite alteration indicative of high temperature environment. Also present is jaspilite and/or haematite and barite alteration and traces of magnetite. No significant sulfidation observed. Clast dominated by angular-shaped barite, quartz-carbonate, feldspar?? and Jaspilite. #Exploration #Basemetals

Pictured below is an example of what our post-drilling rehabilitation looks like. The small area covered by gravel, is where we used an air core drill to collect rocks and soil from metres below the surface. Once these samples are collected, they are sent off to be assayed for indicators of potential gold deposits. Once the drill program is complete, the holes are fully rehabilitated by back-filling, capping and grading the surface. Our team then complete checks of all drill holes periodically to ensure the land remains fully rehabilitated to it’s original state. #nsm #northstawellminerals #exploration #gold #bettersciencebetterexploration

Asbestos, a group of naturally occurring minerals, has been historically valued for its heat resistance and durability. The main types include chrysotile (white asbestos), amosite (brown asbestos), and crocidolite (blue asbestos). Found in various geological formations, asbestos was widely used in the construction, automotive, and manufacturing industries for insulation, fireproofing, and reinforcement. Despite its versatility, the mineral's use has become less common due to regulations and safer alternatives. #geology #mining #minerals #asbestos #naturalresources #construction #industryinsights #exploration #geophysics #miningidustry #miningconsultancy #mineralexploration #mineralresources
