Solution Focused Therapy Benefits and Definition Let’s take a look at solution focused therapy benefits and what #SFT is all about. Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) is an evidence-based form of talk therapy that is designed to help individuals and couples identify and work towards concrete goals. It is a solution-focused, rather than problem-focused, form of therapy that centers on creating change and developing sustainable, positive, and measurable outcomes. The therapy can help people identify their strengths, acknowledge their successes, develop strategies to tackle difficult problems, and collaborate to create a plan that will meet the goals they want to achieve. Key Principles Behind SFT The main principles behind SFT are goal setting, collaboration, and positive reframing. The client and therapist work together to set short-term, achievable goals, and then reframe difficulties as opportunities for growth. The focus is on strengths, https://lnkd.in/ek_NDB7h #counseling #solutionfocusedtherapy

This workshop will cover advanced information on diagnosis and treatment planning with the different personality adaptations using a Transactional Analysis and Redecision Therapy framework. Each of these adaptations operate from a different existential position and each has a specific open door in which they easily make contact with others, a target door which is most effective in helping them make change, and a trap door in which they have the greatest defenses and needs to be avoided. Knowing this information can make you a more effective therapist regardless of your treatment modality. *Note: This workshop is required for the Personality Focused Treatment (PFT) Certified Practitioner Program. * Recommended Reading for this Workshop Insight Out - The 6 Personality Types That Hold The Key to Success in Your Life and Relationships Interested in this workshop? Helping therapists gain more clients and build profitable practices | Mental Healthcare Marketing and Business Strategy | Founder @ REdD Strategy
In the last issue of the Therapy Business Brief, I linked to an article about a psychologist's experience using BetterHelp. This article got the most clicks by far. I wasn't surprised because people like reading about experiences, case studies, and experiments. More importantly, they love reading about people like them. That's why doing a competitive analysis for your practice is so revealing. It's a little more methodical than "comparing notes" with a colleague and it's incredibly useful for understanding how you can stand out. Have you tried it? #therapybusinessbrief #therapists #privatepracticesuccess #privatepractice

Most of us were taught to follow our clients where they go in session. Although this approach sounds kind, it can lead us to avoid painful feelings that our clients need help addressing in therapy. This also creates burnout for the therapist, because listening to stories does not produce results - it can actually make the therapy stuck. This is one of the worst feelings for a therapist! ISTDP helps therapists identify when clients use defenses such as taking a passive stance, avoiding declaring a problem to work on, or looking to you to know the answer for them. This is important for both the client and the therapist: the client learns what maladaptive defense mechanisms are causing their problems, and the therapist feels more energized and capable of helping the client turn against these, and toward their healthy feelings. In our Foundational Therapist Training, we teach these skills that are useful for any therapeutic approach one uses. You can register at https://hubs.li/Q02NV9ZQ0

🔎 How long does a therapy journey typically last? There isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer. The duration of therapy depends on individual needs, goals, and the complexity of the issues being addressed. After an initial assessment, therapists provide an estimate based on the objectives set together, but the path may evolve as new topics come up. The most important aspect is that the process is fully personalized and always adjusted in agreement with you. At Therapsy, our sessions are tailored to meet your specific needs, ensuring flexibility and support throughout your journey. 🌿 ✨ Start with a free assessment call today: www.therapsy.it #MentalHealthSupport #PersonalGrowth #TherapyJourney #WellbeingAtWork #Therapsy #MentalHealthAwareness

Zensible Mental Health Enthusiast | Promoting Strong Community of Psychologists | Building Smart Tools for Better Outcomes
🌟 "Why do therapists ask so many questions?" 🌟 Recently saw a post where someone was frustrated that their therapist asked questions unrelated to their problem. 😕 👉 Clients, remember: cultural context matters in therapy! Therapists ask background questions to tailor the best plan for YOU. Therapists, here's a simple LEARN formula to connect with clients: 👉 Listen: Start by actively listening to understand the client's concerns. Don’t jump to conclusions or questions immediately. 👉 Explain: Once you have a grasp of the issue, explain how therapy works and what the journey might look like. 👉 Acknowledge: Validate their feelings and concerns. This shows empathy and builds trust. 👉 Recommend: Suggest a personalized therapy plan tailored to the client’s needs. 👉 Negotiate: Collaboratively adjust the plan if the client has any discomfort or concerns. Neha Magdi's blog on culturally responsive therapy explains this process with practical examples on how to choose the right therapy outcomes for your client's specific needs.
