I was asked to be a guest on the US show The Bizbeatdown Podcast which was kinda weird, a show from the US wanting to interview little ol' me! Well, I did the Brits proud and smashed it, I was f@ckin awesome 🤩😂 The 2 interviewers Vincent Pennix and Parick Barbour put me through my paces on the below subjects 👇 - The growing pains of an ambitious recruitment company. - Alternative strategies for growth (this is a good one!). - The whole subject of growing to sell, why sell, is diversifying a smarter move. - Using business KPIs to improve staff development - Hiring - AI and recruitment - And lastly a joint slagging off on recruiters who post on Linkedin about recruitment 😂 You can view it here 📹 https://bit.ly/4ciSn14 Or go to this link to my website to see the icons for all audio-only podcast channels 🎙️to download it https://bit.ly/3wXmkU5 I loved their "interview" style, it felt more like mates debating over a pint, but we got some great stuff out of it. I actually think it is the 2nd best recruitment interview podcast I know of (even if I do say so myself 😂). 1st is Hishem Azzouz interview with Alex Elliott, if you've not checked that one out do, it's brilliant for aspiring or current recruitment business owners.

Helping companies achieve their vision by recruiting the people with the most potential to help them achieve that vision 🙌 DM ME FOR HELP WITH RECRUITING | EXECUTIVE SEARCH | EMPLOYER BRANDING
If you’re on LinkedIn, I’m guessing there’s a good chance you’ve taken a handful of DISC assessments. What do you think of those personality and performance assessments? We use one here at Miller Resource Group, and we really like it, Innermetrix Incorporated, but we did a lot of shopping around to find one that is very through (in results, not in how long it takes to complete), and we invested heavily in getting certified in how to interpret the results, and maybe most importantly, we never use it as a knock-out blow for someone. We’ve worked with a lot of companies that have used a lot of different assessments and the big mistake I see a lot of them make is letting it be an absolute. “We really like this candidate, great experience, seems like a good culture fit, their salary expectations work for our budget, but they’re only a 37 D and an 87 S. Next!” Maybe I’m exaggerating (in some cases), but Kevin Hanegan hits the nail on the head in our conversation. These assessments can be valuable, but only if you are using the right ones in the right ways. Have you ever had a bad experience taking one of these things during an interview? Helping you create an exceptional life and career through disruptive ideas and bold strategies. 💥Change and Transformation Expert💥 Strategist💥 Executive Coach 💥 Podcast Host 💥 Energetic Optimist💥Free Range Mom
The latest episode of the #LaidOffLifeOn! Podcast is finally here! After three weeks of procrastinating, writing, throwing what I wrote in the trash, recording, deleting, and re-recording countless times, the latest #LaidOffLifeOn! Podcast episode, 'Interview Landmines: 5 Ways I Bombed My Interview At Netflix,' is now available on all Podcast platforms. This was a tough episode because it documents my failed interview process at Netflix and details every mistake I made along the way. The interview came weeks after my last day after being laid off, when the best that I could do was fake it until I made it, learn how to be ok with failing, and try to stay focused on the learnings from each mistake I made along the way. No surprise... the #goldmine amongst the rubble was that having a strong #network allowed me the opportunity to make my way into the process. The biggest mistakes are the ones we don't learn from, and this episode is about sharing both the mistakes I made, as well as the learnings that it revealed, in hopes that you or someone you know can learn something or discover a useful #goldmine that will help you or them during this process. https://lnkd.in/g-nkEBaN PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SHARE THE EPISODE WITH ANYONE YOU KNOW WHO IS GOING THROUGH THE INTERVIEW PROCESS. #vulnerabilityishard #laidofflifeon #beenthere #landmines #goldmines
