#CAPA - Corrective Action & Preventive Action, and #RCA - Root Cause Analysis, two terms, integral to any organisation's success in operations, need to be well understood and implemented. There is ambiguity in most organisations that 'after' a problem occurs, we get down to finding its root causes and implement actions to avoid its occurrence - we are taking #Correctiveaction and when we take actions to 'prevent' its recurrence, we are taking #Preventiveaction' !! So, the term #CAPA!! This is WRONG. I had the opportunity of training the team of Engineers of #TrinityTouch on #TUVIndia's #CAPA and #RCA 2 day extensive training course (including #Riskbasedthinking) on 27th & 28th Sept 2023 at Prithla, Palwal, Haryana and clarifying the fundamentals and teaching them a few RCA techniques like Brainstorming, Why-Why Analysis, Ishikawa Diagram, Pareto Analysis with practical exercises and case studies.

Thrilled to have participated in the "Mastering 5S and Kaizen, The Toyota Way Program'23" held on September 24, 2023, a collaborative effort of the United Nations Association of Pakistan (UNAP) and Indus Motor Company Ltd. This insightful training delved into the principles of 5S - Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain, along with valuable insights on these 5S Lean tools, Kaizen tools (PDCA), the symbiotic relationship between 5S and Kaizen for enhancing the processes, waste reduction and sustainable growth. The concepts were well explained, and practical examples were shared to illustrate how these principles can contribute to water conservation, support plantation efforts, and improve road safety. "Professor Kano argued that the method of quality circles, which pre-existed Six Sigma, and was based on thorough and rigorous research, remains universally applicable and did not need a new approach invented.
