🎉 Exciting News! 🎉 We are thrilled to announce a new partnership between our robotics team, Argo Robotics, and the WAAW Foundation. This collaboration is a testament to our shared commitment to advancing STEM education in all parts of the world. Argo Robotics has developed an intensive 12-week curriculum specifically for the WAAW fellowship students. The curriculum covers key subjects including Python, Artificial Intelligence, and Computer Architecture, with each unit spanning four weeks. Our goal is not just to teach, but to inspire. We believe in the power of education to change lives and open up new possibilities. That’s why we’re so excited about this partnership. It’s about more than just the content- but about empowering the next generation of STEM leaders. Students who successfully complete the coursework and participate in various assignments and projects will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the course. We can’t wait to see what these talented students will achieve! Here’s to a successful partnership and the bright futures we are helping to shape! 🚀

"The varsity sport for the mind.” Visit Mississauga and the The International Centre cannot wait to welcome the great minds of the over 3,000 students who will enjoy the highest level of team robotics - offered by FIRST Robotics Canada Competition 2024! FRC 2024 combines the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. Under strict rules, limited resources, and time limits, teams of 25 students or more are challenged to raise funds, design a team “brand,” hone teamwork skills, and build and program robots to perform prescribed tasks against a field of competitors. It’s as close to “real-world engineering” as a student can get. Volunteer professional mentors lend their time and talents to guide each team. https://lnkd.in/gmAQPR9h High-school students team up with the world’s best technology companies to build the most impressive robots you’ve ever seen. Built from scratch, these 5 foot tall, 140 pound robots compete in high intensity robo-sports. With bragging rights at stake for schools and the companies that support them, robotics takes on a pro-sports experience. #DYK #ArmyJROTC has its own VEX Robotics Competition? VEX Robotics is just one of the #STEM based co-curricular activities JROTC offers. STEM helps foster education in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math disciplines. Every year, JROTC Cadets from around the country come to Dallas, Texas, to test the robots they’ve created in a gauntlet of challenges hosted by VEX Robotics. VEX is a robotics program used to educate students Elementary to College through science and engineering principles in an environment that encourages creativity, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Whether or not a student decides to work towards a STEM career, students involved in STEM programs can take the skills they learn from these activities and apply the problem-solving methods to everyday life. #LeadershipExcellence | #BeAllYouCanBe US Army TRADOC | USAREC | GoArmy

Helping all students navigate college admissions. Working with them to think broadly, apply wisely, learn, graduate and make the world a more just place.
High school students can celebrate National Robotics Week (April 1-8) by diving into the dynamic world of robotics clubs! Here's why high school students should get involved: 🤖 Creative Construction: Students can design, build, program, and test their own robots. This hands-on approach deepens their understanding and memory of complex concepts. 💭 Innovative Problem-Solving: Robotics is all about creative solutions. Tackling challenges and sharpening critical thinking muscles are valuable skills in every aspect of life. ⚛️ A Fusion of Fields: Robotics is where science, technology, engineering, math (STEM), and the creative arts meet. 🤝 Collaborative Spirit: Robotics is a team sport. By collaborating with peers, students enhance their teamwork and communication skills – essential tools in high school, college, and future careers. By applying wisely, building confidence, and getting it right, I help students on their journey to college admission success. 👩🏻🏭#MavensofManufacturing Podcast🎙️USA Presenter @ MTDCNC🎙️Public Speaker✒️#TechWriter 📖 #BrandStoryteller💻#IndustrialMarketer💪🏼Women, People & Manufacturing Empowerment🤝🏽Industry Connector
I would love to have these girls on Mavens of Manufacturing. What a story! If you're a #manufacturer, or any company really, struggling to get more women through your doors, read this article: https://lnkd.in/gV3baJgc Memorable quotes from the article: "G-Force Robotics is one of 1,185 robotics teams sponsored by the Defense Department and industry, located throughout the world. More than 86,000 students in grades K-12 compete, and only 2% of teams are all-female." "A little over a year ago, these girls didn't know how to use power tools, code in Java, or build robots. Working as a team, they built their winning robot in about eight weeks for a competition. Twenty years from now, these girls could be going to Mars. They can be the leaders that will deter our next global enemy," she said. Yelizaveta Korenko, the leader of STEM is FEM — a nongovernmental organization that arranges programs to inspire young women in STEM fields in Ukraine — asked the team if they ever tried to reach out to other girls to join them. Fendrick said, "I talked with friends. Everybody's like, ‘Oh, that's so cool.' And then the second thing they say is, ‘I could never do that.' "We need to show girls that they are capable of doing anything," she added. We have to be more intentional with our awareness, recruitment, and retention efforts with younger girls. #Mentorship is essential. #Sponsorship is essential. #robotics #engineering #programming #automation #workforcedevelopment
"A little over a year ago, these girls didn't know how to use power tools, code in Java or build robots. Working as a team, they built their winning robot in about eight weeks for a competition." - Lt. Col. Shannon Mann, coach of G-Force Robotics The members of FIRST Robotics Competition team G-Force Robotics, sponsored by DoD STEM, are dedicated to applying their experience to inspire and encourage girls' participation in STEM and beyond. During the 2023 FIRST ENERGIZE season, the team logged 3,200 hours of volunteer service that primarily focused on STEM outreach in their communities while also being named a Rookie All Star winner at FIRST Championship.
