Riddle me this: if PFB is a CHRONIC condition (which it is, according to the National Institute of Health), and the only real “treatment” is to not shave (same source): 1. Why does it require periodic revaluation? 2. Why do we impose creams, razors or laser removal at all? 3. Why is each service different in the duration of waivers? Navy = 2 years, USAF = 5 years, USA issues permanent waivers. Huh? Because DOD fundamentally misunderstands this condition and it’s impact. “The Air Force changed its current shaving waiver policy that required annual medical evaluations to a 5 year recurring item. This initiative is definitely a step in the right direction however, I seek to explore a further step to make shaving waivers a permanent solution for those affected with this disease. The 5-year shaving waiver is not enough because pseudo folliculitis barbae PFB is a permanent condition. It can be reduced however there has not been a cure. Additionally, the stigma surrounding shaving waivers is not addressed in the extension of the shaving waiver from a 1 year to 5-year timespan. As our Force continues to address racial disparities, I will add that this facial condition predominantly affects minorities however, between 45 and 85 percent of African-American males experience PFB.”

In LE circles we sometimes shy from dealing with groups like ACLU, but then we find ourselves in defense. Good policies regarding technology use demand contrarian input to ensure the LE community is hearing what some of their communities fears are. Here's an interesting article: lnkd.in/gBQ6h_x4

Lone Soldiers face a ton of challenges, and Knesset isn't doing enough. That needs to change, especially during Operation Iron Swords. I'm convening a group of lone soldiers and activists thinking about how to improve the lives of lone soldiers. We're researching and writing policy right now, and then we (hopefully) take it to Knesset. 💪✡ If you're a LS interested in getting involved/sharing your thoughts, email benjaminlefkowitz1@gmail.com with the subject "Lone Soldier Support Project."

It is of particular interest conducting a research on this topic. Defense and Security are a topic of interest, and in a geopolitical situation like ours, it is even a more delicate issue. What is the position of the European citizens? What is their opinion? Help me and Sara Pane to answer to this question, and many others, responding and diffusing this survey!

In times of unprecedented crisis, media outlets, politicians, and EU institutions are reporting big changes happening in Europe. The common security and defense policy is core to today's debates. But what do European citizens know about this controversial issue? To discover more about this, with my doctoral colleague and friend Davide Emanuele Iannace we are conducting an independent research on European public opinion towards the common security and defense policy. Your contribution counts. Filling the survey and/or spreading it among your networks would be great help for us. Israel has done more to prevent civilian casualties than any other army ever has. #Islamophobia, a condition when: a. You listen to Imams and figure out they are using mosques to brainwash people into genocidal terrorists (in USA, Canada, UK, EU, Australia and more) b. You notice refugees from oppressive countries are actually not refugees but operatives on a mission to spread oppression worldwide (happening right now in streets) c. When you say that violence, rape, murder, threats, forcing your beliefs on others, terrorism are NOT OK d. When you say that targeting terrorists is OK e. When you say that using civilians as human shields and shooting then if they try to leave is NOT OK f. When you call out people for using photos and videos from Syria and claiming they are from Gaza g. When deaths and displacement in Syria, Sudan, Yemen, Pakistan matter to you h. When you are against slavery in Africa i. When you think Jews have a right to exist j. When you think that hunting Christians is not a valid sport #defundunrwa #defundtheun #JihadIsGenocide #islamicteachings #islamicvalues #islamiceducation #islamicstudies #islamicblessings #muslimummah #islamicfinance #muslimbrotherhood #muslimcommunity #muslimstories #muslimwomen #muslimworld #womensafety #womenrights #genocide #genocidal #apartheid #islamophobia #jihad #islamophobiaawarenessmonth #palestinesolidarity #palestiniansolidarity #palestinianlivesmatter #palestineupdate #terroristfinancing
