🌈 Happy Pride Month Recap! 🌈 In June, we celebrated and honored Pride Month with a series of impactful and inclusive activities that took place all around the globe. We proudly raised flags with the powerful message, “Everyone is welcome here.” Alongside this, we shared information and engaged in active discussions about Pride Month. Our goal was to raise awareness and educate our team on the importance of LGBTQIA+ rights and history. These conversations helped us gain deeper insights and fostered a sense of understanding and empathy within our organization. To spread joy and celebrate, we distributed a variety of giveaways such as colorful cupcakes, stickers, glasses, and small flags. These tokens of celebration added a festive touch to our Pride Month activities. Let's continue to stand together, celebrate our differences, and champion equality for all—not only in June, but every day. #pridemonth #weareoneteam #wereonit #arvato #happypride

What better way to kick off #PrideMonth than celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community and the many contributions of leaders from across Greater Boston making change for a more equitable and inclusive Commonwealth? Our team had a great time at the Boston Business Journal Business of Pride event last week, and we look forward to joining other festivities throughout the month (and year-round). The event was also a reminder of how, each year, more companies are adopting communications (and marketing) campaigns to demonstrate allyship. The most successful of those are ones that reflect authentic actions to advance LGBTQIA+ priorities and celebrate team contributions. Your presence shows solidarity. 💚 Donate to LGBTQ+ Causes: If you have the means, donate to organizations that advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and provide resources to the community. 💙 Support LGBTQ+ Businesses and Media: Patronize businesses owned by LGBTQ+ individuals. Why is Pride month celebrated? What does Pride stand for? And why June? These are common questions, so let me simplify it for you in 'Smita Simplifies'. Pride month is globally recognized and celebrated in June, though some countries observe it at different times. It all began after the Stonewall riots at the Stonewall Inn in New York City, USA. Pride marches emerged in various locations to advocate for the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community. Throughout June, we dedicate time to amplify their voices and support their rights. For those unfamiliar with the community, here's what you can do: 1) Educate yourself by reading about their experiences and struggles. 2) Expand your social circle to include members of the LGBTQIA+ community. They're incredibly welcoming. 3) Consider becoming an ally. These are just a few starting points. Celebrating #Pride #Month (post 2) How can we Celebrate Pride Month? 1. we can join local Pride parades, festivals, and events to show support and solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community. or we can attend virtual events and webinars if in-person participation is not possible. 2. we can educate ourselves and others about LGBTQ+ rights, and issues. 3. we can support LGBTQ+ authors, artists, and creators by consuming and promoting their work. 4. we can support LGBTQ+ Organizations by donating or volunteering. 5. last but not least, we can/should use inclusive language, respect pronouns, and stand against discrimination in all forms. This creates safe and inclusive spaces in your workplace, school, or community for LGBTQ+ individuals.
