We are thankful for our team of innovative and hard-working colleagues, and for the chance to bring everyone together. We may be biased, but we think our employees are nothing short of amazing! Here are two easy and impactful ways to show your interns some love: 🎁 Intern Appreciation Box (Starting at $48) This box includes tokens of appreciation and custom goodies found only at Happy Box. While it's a great gift as is, you can also customize it by adding/removing items and including a handwritten card. 🎁 Gift of Choice (Starting at $35) Not sure what they’d like? Let your interns pick their own gifts! Set your budget, include a sweet message, and upload your company logo. Your interns will receive an email to claim a gift within your set budget, but they’ll never know what you paid. 👋This past week, Greif interns participated in a week-long immersive intern summit in Delaware, Ohio that provided an introduction to the company, the opportunity to network with many colleagues, and the ability to create meaningful connections with our fellow interns. Firstly, we appreciate the efforts of Tracy Studebaker and Michele Walker, along with countless others in both planning and investing in young talent throughout this summit. During an engaging session and presentation with Chief Human Resources Officer Bala Sathyanarayanan, we received exciting news: GREIF has been selected as one of Newsweek's Top 100 Global Most Loved Workspaces in 2024! Such an accomplishment hardly comes as a surprise, and it is largely due to GREIF’s unique culture. After diving deeper into our conversation with Bala Sathyanarayanan about the building blocks of what distinguishes GREIF, our group wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of those remarkable highlights. During his presentation, Bala introduced six attributes of a highly valued intern: being a business person (no matter your role at the company), leaving your work better than you found it, having a bias for action and following through, being a change leader, being candid and to the point, and being a complex problem solver. Throughout our discussion, we reflected on curiosity regarding our own work and pushing the boundaries and expectations of our role. One key indicator stuck out to us that we wanted to expand on: having a bias for action and following through. To us, this means being consciously change oriented and proactive instead of reactive. It means putting yourself out there even if you are uncomfortable. It means constantly reflecting on our past, energizing others, and asking questions. Being an intern means not just clocking in and getting the job done; it's about pushing boundaries and exceeding expectations by keeping your focus on the bigger picture. The only way to move forward is to get comfortable being uncomfortable. And we are committed to doing just that. Meet the Newest (and Fluffiest) Member of Our Team! 🐾 Last week, our office dynamics took a tail-wagging turn with the arrival of our newest intern. It’s been... different. But who knew a young, fresh face could bring so much joy (and a few more paw prints)? 🐕💼 Some of us are already best pals, while others... well, let’s just say it’s a work in progress. But one thing’s for sure, office life has never been cuter. What’s your vote - pawsitive addition or barking up the wrong tree? 🤣 - - - #marketingempiregroup #temecula #temeculavalley #digitalmarketingagency #digitalmarketingservices #marketinginnovation #businessmarketing #businessmarketingstrategy #theofficeparody #theoffice #theofficememes #theofficeedit #internship

🌟Throwback to my first internship as a newsroom desk intern at a Baltimore ABC affiliate. I was in awe of the news anchors and excited by everything around me. I learned to observe, ask questions, and find ways to provide value. The point? Internships like these are game-changers for young professionals. 💼 Three Reasons They Matter: → It's a Common Step - Over 60% of students complete internships during college. → Internships Boost Job Prospects - Interns are 15% less likely to be unemployed after graduation. → The Experience Supports Higher Earnings - Entry-level workers with internship experience earn about 6% more. In a Post-Pandemic world, internships matter more than ever. → They offer unique opportunities to learn remote and hybrid work. → The skills and connections can benefit your career for a lifetime. What Makes a Difference for the Interns? → Meaningful tasks and mentorship top the list. We are saying farewell to the X-Caliber interns this week. And it dawned on me... After all these years, it's easy to forget the impact of these experiences until we look through the lens of our past, and realize how those early days shaped who we are today. Wishing the X-Caliber Intern Experience Class of 2024 a wonderful future. P.S. Liar's Poker was a great book. #careers #goodluck #interns2024 Chris Callahan Sharon Callahan Alison D'Elia, SHRM-CP
Eight weeks ago our interns started their journey with us by assembling a tiki hut on the Hudson. What a memorable start! And since that short time ago, they have come a long way. From learning about our business, to working with special mentors, to earning certifications, to participating in a mock "Shark Tank" competition, they have experienced a lot. Today, our Intern Experience Class of 2024 wrapped up their summer journey with a Book Club discussion, integrated with career insights and sincere well wishes from X-Caliber's CEO Chris Callahan. During their one-hour, very casual meeting, the team of nine chatted about their summer read and posed many questions about careers, while asking for some real-life guidance before they head back to school. Chris's advice? "Love what you do and work hard." On behalf of Team X-Caliber and our affiliates, CastleGreen Finance and X-Caliber Rural Capital, we wish you the best of luck. The world is yours. Now go create the future of your dreams! 🎉 Last Friday marked the end of my summer internship at Vytalogy Wellness, highlighted by the incredible 600th day OSHA celebration at the Haslet site! This journey has been transformative, filled with significant learning and growth, thanks to the great support from Robert Machado, Chief Supply Chain Officer, Steeve Havel, Director of Operations, my encouraging supervisor Noe Briceno, and all my beloved colleagues. *** During my time here, I deeply engaged with key aspects of lean manufacturing and inventory management: 1. Enhanced #leanmanufacturing by streamlining operations, achieving reduction in operational variances through lot size standardization. 2. Drove #continuousimprovement in inventory management, cutting material over-usage and synchronizing replenishment with production demands. 3. Embraced the principle that #ZeroIsImpossible, learning the critical role of safety and proactive risk management in achieving operational excellence. I deeply appreciate the knowledge gained and the relationships built during this time. I am eager to leverage these experiences to further advance my career in supply chain management. #LifeatVytalogyWellness

This summer, we're extending our spotlight series to celebrate CenterSquare’s exceptional interns! Over the next few weeks, we will be highlighting the unique skills, diverse backgrounds, and fresh perspectives that our interns bring to the table. Our first intern spotlight is Michelle Bocanegra, an incoming senior pursuing a B.S. in business administration at USC. Michelle is based out of our Newport Beach office and will be working alongside our Private Real Estate Team. Continue reading below to learn more about Michelle: 1. What are your top three productivity tips for a successful workday? Listen to good music during your commute, have a cup of coffee ASAP, and keep an arsenal of snacks on hand. 2. If you could share some advice with your younger self, what would it be? The main advice I would give my younger self is to not underestimate herself. I would tell her to be confident in her abilities and knowledge, and if she doesn’t believe me, I’ll give her a blip of the things I’ve accomplished thus far—things like getting into and going to USC, which was something that the younger me dreamed of but didn’t think was possible. 3. What inspired you to pursue a career in your current field of study? I have always loved real estate, even when I was younger. I would watch HGTV’s Flip or Flop every day during the summer, and during my free time, I would endlessly search Zillow just for fun. However, early on I knew I didn't want to work in residential real estate, but I had a passion for the real estate industry. This was when I started searching for other options; I came across commercial real estate and found it to be the perfect fit. 4. As a child, what career did you want to have when you “grew up?” As a child, I always wanted to be a veterinarian because I love animals, especially dogs. I currently have 2 Australian Shepherds and am hoping to get another in the future. 5. If you could try something knowing you would not fail, what would it be? If I were guaranteed not to fail at something, I would go skydiving. It is something I've always been interested in doing; however, the fear of it going badly has stopped me. With no risk of failing or falling out of the sky uncontrollably, I would take the chance to skydive for the first time. #CenterSquare #SummerInternship #Spotlight
