One of the many great things I learned working for Ford: The best way to show a technician you care about them is to invest in their growth. I just finished creating 90 day goals for 22 Entry level technicians. In 90 days, all of our young techs will be closer to becoming a Senior Master Technician. In the struggle against the technician shortage, one area of improvement is technician retainment. “The bottom line is, I don’t hate what I do, but there are better ways to make a living,” said Brandon Harmatiuk, sr. master technician at Subaru. “The amount of effort it takes to become an elite technician applied to a different career could probably get you more freedom and better comp." The National Technician shortage is still a pressing issue that is facing the transport industry. 🚛 Keeping trucks and vans safe and roadworthy is THE most important element in our line of work! ‼️ ‼️ Without our technicians, where would we be? They are the beating heart ❤️ of the industry, and we want to show our appreciation….
