What a fantastic update. 60 satellites in 2025 and 2026 is amazing.

The buildout is continuing right on track. This is a long term investment that is right on schedule in all ways ...

Congrats to the talented AST team on both the amazing technology and partnerships with leading MNOs (and US gov contracts). In the Q3 earnings call, it was mentioned that 45 to 60 satellites are sufficient to reach continuous connectivity in the US, Japan and Europe but I wonder if this could be clarified further given that hundreds of satellites are usually needed in LEO to have at least one satellite “in view” all the time. After running multiple AST scenarios on NCAT (non-GEO constellations analysis toolkit) I tend to think that AST and partners (+ US government) may benefit from exploring ways to drive uses/revenue from intermittent services, until the constellation reaches scale for continuous connectivity across the relevant latitude range. I may be wrong in my assumptions (~500 km altitude, 53 deg orbit inclination, 20 deg of minimum look angle for smartphones) so please feel free to correct me.. I look forward to inputs!

I am an investor in ASTS but I do not like the method of financing through an At The Market Facility. I believe this has impacted normal open market trading dynamics and trends: From Wikipedia: An at-the-market (ATM) offering is a type of follow-on offering of stock used by publicly traded companies in order to raise capital over time. In an ATM offering, exchange-listed companies can sell newly issued shares or shares they already own into the secondary trading market through a designated broker-dealer at prevailing market prices. The broker-dealer sells the issuing company's shares in the market and receives cash from the transaction. The broker-dealer then delivers the proceeds to the issuing company where the cash can be used for a variety of purposes. A higher stock price means a greater amount of money can be raised. The issuing company is able to raise this kind of capital on an as-needed basis[1] with the option to refrain from offering shares if the prices on a particular day are unsatisfactory. ATM offerings can be started and stopped at any point, and they can also be more aggressive by selling more shares and raising more money when there is an opportunity in the market or additional need by the issuing company.

What a great update, so many promising things coming. Abel even mentioned a EMINENT APPROVAL from the FCC to begin operations with the first 6 satellites. 🛰️ 🚀💰

Congratulations, well done!
