Combining it with the Wieland Electric Podis system creates an easy-to-install, scalable solution that can work with every charger. The footage below shows our recent installation in an apartment building. The 63A flat cable was deployed across the parking lot and is currently connected to three ABB chargers. Local regulation requires an RCD and MCB per charger, hence the small panel boxes next to each charger. As more tenants go electric, new snap-in modules will be easily added sharing the same managed power source. There will be no more cabling, electric panels, or drilling. We expect to connect up to 15 vehicles to this string. #evcharging #loadbalancing #energymanagement

🌱 Virtual Power Plants: Challenges and Solutions 🌱 The potential for Virtual Power Plants (VPPs) to revolutionise our energy landscape is immense. Properly deployed, VPPs can help utilities sidestep billions in new generation and transmission costs. However, the journey to widespread adoption is hindered by inadequate performance accountability and poor visibility into distribution networks. To truly capitalise on VPPs, they must be treated more like conventional electricity supply resources. This means integrating pay-for-performance guarantees, enabling VPPs to slot seamlessly into core resource plans rather than just demand-side management. Significant investments in grid and metering technology are essential. These updates could transform VPPs into reliable, cohesive resources that match the performance of conventional power plants. An important joint project for the #energytransition is becoming a reality. The four German transmission system operators, 50Hertz Transmission GmbH, Amprion GmbH, TenneT and TransnetBW GmbH, are launching an #innovation #partnership with industrial partners Siemens Energy, GE Vernova and Hitachi Energy. The partnership aims to develop #multiterminal hubs with #HVDC circuit breakers for the first time in order to link the new extra-high voltage direct current connections. Energy #future "made in Europe". With this partnership, we are joining forces and shaping the infrastructure of the future together. In the German North Sea alone, 70 gigawatts of #offshore #windenergy are planned, which must not only be brought ashore efficiently, but also distributed throughout the country in the most area- and cost-efficient way possible. At the same time, the further integration of #renewableenergies is increasing the demands on #gridstability and #securityofsupply. We are there-fore focusing on new innovative technologies and are realising a large-scale meshed direct current grid for the first time.
