Mining and Automotive Skills Alliance’s Post

Introducing David Hynes, AUSMASA's new Principal Industry Engagement Advisor (Resources), based in Perth. David brings extensive experience in workforce development and a deep understanding of the mining industry's legislative environment. At the Resources Industry Training Council (RITC), he played a key role in consulting and collaborating with stakeholders across Western Australia, nationally, and internationally. His work supported initiatives of the State Training Board (STB) and the Department of Training and Workforce Development (DTWD). As Manager of Carey Group Training, David successfully transitioned the organisation to permanent registration status. His policy advocacy and workforce development efforts focused on creating pathways for Western Australians and addressing industry skills shortages. At the Wirrpanda Foundation and as CEO of the Western Australian Training Academy, David developed programs for at-risk students, fostering industry participation and community engagement. As Principal Industry Engagement Advisor, David will leverage his expertise to drive positive change and support our industry stakeholders. Please join us in welcoming David to the #AUSMASA team.
