#Argentina🇦🇷The Argentine 🇦🇷⚓️Navy aims to resume participation in multinational exercises in #Africa and the #Pacific as part of its plan to enhance training and readiness. Due to budget constraints and political factors, the Navy has been absent from many international exercises it previously hosted or participated in. Admiral Allievi, the Chief of the Navy General Staff, expressed a desire to rejoin exercises like #UNITAS, particularly its Pacific phase off the coast of Chile. The Navy has also recently engaged in exercises such as Gringo-Gaucho with the U.S. Navy and #PASSEX with the French Navy. Additionally, the Navy plans to conduct the Fraterno exercise with Brazil and participate in UNITAS, aiming to strengthen regional partnerships and maritime expertise. However, participation in such exercises requires legislative approval, which has been challenging due to ideological differences and political resistance.

The US Navy has anchored Cochin Shipyard Limited in a Master Shipyard Repair Agreement, commencing on 5th April 2024, following the agreement to strengthen naval cooperation between India and the US at last year’s G20 summit. The US Navy’s Military Sealift Command approved the partnership upon the outcome of a comprehensive review and capability assessment on CSL. CSL has become a prominent company in the maritime sector following its significant role in the refitting work of 2 Indian Naval vessels and many other developments. Such an initiative by the US not only aims at defense cooperation but also utilizes the expertise of the Indian shipyards to improve its operational capability. Similar pacts with other Indian organizations, such as L&T and Mazagaon Dock, will help the US Navy create hubs in the Indo-Pacific region. It will subsequently provide security and establish regional stability in these currents of ever-growing competition. #usnavy #cochinshipyardlimited #g20summit #larsonandtubro #mazagondock #shiprepair #shiprepairservice

Royal Shame For UK Navy! A Power That Ruled The World Now Struggles To Get Escort Warships For Its Aircraft Carrier Two centuries ago, the Sun would never set on the British Empire, which was built on the strength of its Navy. However, a 17-year pause in shipbuilding has proved detrimental to the Royal Navy’s capability. Its aging and overstretched naval platforms mean that in 2025, the Royal Navy’s aircraft carrier, HMS Prince of Wales, will need protection from the Norwegian Navy during its deployment to the Pacific region. The Norwegian government announced on August 6 that Norway will join the UK’s Carrier Strike Group deployment to Japan and the Indo-Pacific region in 2025. Norway’s navy will be providing two warships, including a frigate. Most probably, it will be one of Norway’s four Nansen-class frigates.

The intensified Chinese military activity in the Taiwan Strait, following Lai’s inauguration, was designed to intimidate and deter. It does not indicate an imminent intention to launch a military attack on Taiwan or to impose a naval blockade. Having exercised relative restraint in the run-up to Taiwan President Lai’s inauguration, the PLA launched a series of military exercises immediately thereafter. These involved unprecedented numbers of ships and aircraft and incorporated several new elements: the exercises came closer to Taiwan’s outlying islands and there was a high level of naval activity off Taiwan’s east coast, including for the first time Chinese paramilitary coastguard vessels. And for the first time, they combined simulation of a naval blockade with follow up attack formations. #China #Taiwan #PLA
