Thank you @James (J.R.) Lowry for inviting me to be a guest on your PathWise Podcast -- I enjoyed meeting you and our conversation very much! In today's new world of work that features remote/hybrid workplaces, rapid advancements in new technologies within the swirl of change hitting us from every angle, we need to adopt a fresh, new "ol' fashioned" approach to Human Resources. We need to put the "Human" back in Human Resources by growing Managers into Leaders and Leaders into "living" Legacy Builders. Let's get rid of the old Command & Control managment style that no longer serves us and supplant it with a more humanistic leadership approach that will deepen engagement, increase job satisfaction and provide a sense of purpose fulfillment for the benefit all stakeholders (Team Members, Customers, Business Partners & Communities). Today -- especially among Millennials and Gen Zers -- team members want to be lead and inspired as opposed to managed and required. In essence, they want to experience a sense of LOVE in their workplace -- feeling like they belong in a Community as opposed to merely feeling part of a Culture. That means Listened to (hear what they are saying/not saying), Observed (coached/encouraged in 'real-time'), Valued (as a whole person) and Empowered (to be their very best). Team Members = Personal ("I need a job from you") Managers = Transactional ("I must obey you") Leaders = Relational ("I will follow you") Legacy Builders = Transformational ("I will emulate you") Given it a listen and let me know what you think in the Comments. The Purposeful Growth Revolution is ON! Are You IN? #purpose #growth #development #humanresources #love
