Beyond Pride Month, we believe in creating safe spaces and a welcoming workplace 365 days of the year. Building a better, more inclusive future starts with how we treat one another, every day. This culture training session at VFD group was really insightful. Dr Maxwell of Zlot had made an example of a person with a google map. Your destination represents your vision, the Google map is the strategy to help you to get to your destination however culture is you maintain the direction of the map. Another example made was that of a diabetic patient, the goal is to get treated, the doctor can recommend life style modifications as a strategy but culture is what will make the patient take heed to the instructions. culture guarantees success over strategy. You must imbibe a culture that aids your growth and success. Culture is the way of life that leads your road to success. Culture is made up of values, mindset, behavior and consistency. Culture is a roadmap to success.
It was indeed an insightful session where knowledge was being shared on culture & inclusion. #VFDGroup #investmentfirm #culturetraining

So as it turns out, leaders are further expanding their commitments to DEI. The rhetoric would have you believe that DEI is being abandoned, and there are certainly a number of organizations still engaging in performative DEI, but that's not the case most often. Here's to the leaders who: 🔹 Are quietly working on correcting their learned biases 🔹 Continue to show up honestly and vulnerably, even after slipping up 🔹 Ask for help 🔹 Speak up and speak out when their colleagues make racist, sexist, xenophobic, and other exclusionary remarks 🔹 what else? #DiversityMatters #InclusionMatters #DEI
