The annual Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) International Roadcheck, is being held May 14-16 across North America. It’s important to remember inspections should not just happen during next month’s Roadcheck event but throughout the year. While the inspections conducted during Roadcheck scrutinize all safety and compliance aspects of equipment and drivers, this year there will be two specific areas of concentration that you need to be aware of for your drivers on the road.

In the world of trucking, safety isn't just a priority, it's a way of life. That's why Level IV brake system inspections are so crucial for those big rigs on the road. 🔧 But what exactly happens during a Level IV inspection? Well, it's a meticulous process that examines all the components – from brake linings and drums to hoses and valves. It ensures everything is functioning as it should. This year, during Brake Safety Week, the CVSA (Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance) is shining a spotlight on Level IV inspections. They're on a mission to keep our roads safe and sound. And at Zenith Logistics, we're right there with them. Our commitment to safety means our trucks always undergo these rigorous inspections, leaving no stone unturned.✌ #BrakeSafetyWeek #LevelIVInspection #TruckSafety #ZenithLogistics #RoadSafety #TruckingLife #SafetyFirst #BrakeInspection #CVSABrakeSafetyWeek #TruckingCommunity #StaySafe #OnTheRoad #TruckMaintenance #SafeRoads

You only dance with Prom queen twice a day. The importance of a thorough Pre-trip and post trip inspection. Drivers are the Fleet and Shops eyes and ears on their tractor and trailer. Being VERY thorough is the key. Too many times I have seen drivers pencil whip an inspection. This not only jeopardizes the driver and his CDL, but the Company’s DOT number not to mention the general public. The reason for doing the inspections are to put eyes and document needed repairs. This is when the 3 person sign off comes into play. Driver puts the vehicle OOS, mechanic completes the repair, driver puts the vehicle back in service. Safety items should NEVER be e deferred. It’s better to err on the side of caution than to risk a on road stop and inspection.
