What to do with all that time and travel? Trick the car. Change little parts now and then. A wire here, a tire there. Swap the dashboard lining, seat covers. Replace the headlamps, foot carpets. Some Leap Day Trivia and Math: 💛🦢 Did you know: In the Gregorian calendar 3 criteria must be taken into account to identify leap years: The year is evenly divisible by 4; If the year can be evenly divided by 100, it is NOT a leap year, unless; The year is also evenly divisible by 400. Then it is a leap year. 🗓️📅 So by these rules, the years 400, 404, 408, 800, 896, 1200, 1600, 2000, 2004 and so on are leap years, while 500, 600, 700.. 1100, 2100 aren't leap years as they aren't divisible by 400 ( though divisible by 4 and 100)💪😃 Between 1795 and 1805 the leap years were 1796 and 1804. 1800 wasn't a leap year. And between 1995 and 2005 the leap years were 1996, 2000 and 2004.🤓🧐 So by this logic NOT ALL 100 years have 24 leap years and 76 non-leap years. Nobody tells you 'why' you should have a goal. Your Default Mode Network (DMN) in your head generates inner voices, and bothers you, giving you directions based on your past experiences, with its primary goal to conserve energy, stopping you from engaging in new energy-intensive tasks. Think of DMN like a car idling. When a car idles, the engine keeps running but at a basic level, conserving fuel and managing essential processes, all while awaiting the driver's next move. Similar to that DMN uses up 90% of the brain's energy when active. When is DMN active? All the time- during the day, at night in sleep and even under light anesthesia. When is it NOT active? The first plane wasn't built on Monday, or was it? Did Thomas Edison invent the light bulb on a Wednesday? Who knows? On what day was the first cruise ship launched? Or the first Android phone? I guess no one remembers any of the exact days of the week these happened. It's less about the day and more about the invention. The day of the week is inconsequential to whatever you do but ensure each day is worthwhile. It's Monday today. Aim for the best as always. Have a great week also. In the day to day, a lot of things we don't agree with or think are wrong get accepted. On this Monday I want to discuss some lighter ones out there. These can be half truths, scams, or "old wive's tales". Maybe there was once a truth to it or there was justification for something. Now it is a relic we still believe or pay for. I'll give an example of one I recently experienced on a trip. It was the ol' "Switch your devices to airplane mode" before takeoff. Now I didn't think this was still an issue with modern day phones or planes. Someone may disagree, but after my extensive search, I couldn't find a technical reason why we still do this. What I did find was a lot of posts that said it was due to airlines not wanting 100 people trying to talk on their phones during a flight. This I can understand and relate with, but lets just be honest about the reasoning behind the request. Are there other scams, lies, or unjustifiable things out there that grate on you? The Red Car Theory 🚗 Imagine a situation where you are traveling from home to your office. Upon reaching, someone asks you a simple question: "How many red cars did you see during your journey?" Most likely, your response will be, "I haven't noticed" or "I don't know" 🤔. Now, picture this: before leaving your house the next day, someone tells you that you will receive 1000 Rs for every red car you spot 💸. This time, you will be actively looking for red cars throughout your journey, eagerly counting each one you see 🚘. What changed between these two scenarios? It's the same route, the same traffic, and the same red cars. The difference is your focus and awareness 🌟. This simple shift illustrates how attention and mindset can drastically alter our experiences and outcomes 📈. This concept, often referred to as the "Red Car Theory," suggests that what we pay attention to becomes more prominent in our lives 🌍. When we focus on certain opportunities or luck, we are more likely to notice them 🍀. In the first situation, red cars were always there, but they went unnoticed because you weren't looking for them 🚗❓. In the second situation, the incentive made you actively search for red cars, making them more apparent 🔍🚗.
