🌍Clean Earth Initiative🌍   I would like to share with the results of our recent volunteering project aimed at cleaning up the environment. As a part of #CleanEarth2024 initiative , our team should find the polluted place and clean it. As the result we collected : - 28 tyres from saloon cars - 4 tyres from trucks  - 4 bags of plastic - 4 bags of mixed garbage - 2 bags of glass - 1 chair The garbage was by taken away by responsible cleaning company. The main aim for me was to remove the 32 tyres, left in the surroundings of Soltysowicki forest. The decomposition period for 1 tyre is 50-80 years, so our action decrease quite significant harm for environment. Special thanks to my team: Justyna Kubów -your dedication and engagement was on highest level. Anita Maciesza-your sense of humor made the hard work lighter and kept our spirits high. Since 2016, World Green Line has been actively working on the Oxygen Bank Project aimed at fighting deforestation and reducing the carbon footprint in the environment. As part of this initiative, we planted trees in the premises of schools across the Bokaro District. We encouraged individuals to participate in our plantation drives by planting trees to commemorate special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, death anniversaries, and personal successes. Through these efforts, we aimed to foster a culture of environmental stewardship and contribute to a greener, healthier planet. Activities done in 2023-24 included: Plantation drives in schools and institutions. Training and awareness sessions to mitigate forest fires. I am excited to post here again, as I have been working for the last few months on a new project with the farm that I am thrilled to announce. I recently created an environmental advocacy/storytelling group called YES! (Your Environmental Story) at The Philosophy Family Farm, which is a forum for people of all backgrounds to share their experiences and stories with the environment, from their work/studies or just everyday interactions. My goal for the group is to break down the barriers that people face with talking about environmental conservation/advocacy, so that everyone's voice can be heard and more people can become involved with the environmental movement by recognizing that everyone's experiences matter in conservation efforts. The group currently is on GroupMe, and the community is being engaged with fun challenges, games, and questions that encourage sharing, dialogue, and skill-building. Eventually, as the group grows, I am planning on hosting Zoom calls where participants can tell their stories and share ideas with a different theme and community-building goal each time.
