Congratulations to Priyani de Silva-Currie, winner of the Helen Tippett award at this year’s National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Excellence Awards. From arriving in New Zealand as a refugee to rising as a Technical Fellow at Beca, Priyani is an advocate for women in infrastructure and gender equality more broadly. Her technical and leadership contributions to the infrastructure sector spans more than 30 years. The Helen Tippett Award celebrates those who significantly advance and support women in the building, construction, or infrastructure industries. We’re also proud to have three other remarkable women represented at this year’s awards: Sariah Hann who received a special merit recognition in the Student Excellence category and Cayla Warner and Georgia Hayden for being named finalists.
