BRG is proud to sponsor Association LAZARE, a charity that provides support to the homeless by housing them in shared accommodations with young professional and student volunteers. 🏢 Lazare, in partnership with Tanguy Le Turquais, has entered the tenth edition of the Vendée Globe, a round-the-world IMOCA-class sailing race held every four years. Beyond fundraising for Lazare, the partnership has enabled over 160 Lazare roommates to join Tanguy for sailing adventures. 🌎 Today Managing Directors Aleksandra Boutin 🇺🇦 and Xavier Boutin 🇺🇦 from BRG’s European Competition practice, alongside friends from the competition community, also had the opportunity to sail with Tanguy in Lorient as he prepares for the race commencing 10 November. ⛵ We look forward to sharing further details on our partnership in due course! ✨ #BRGxLazare

All roads lead to Rome All the key highways emanated from Rome in the days of empire - this is a useful analogy for organisations today. The requirements of the board and its agreed strategy should shoot out to all parts. Not in a haphazard way but with the same consistency and rigour required of the Roman highway technicians. Culture (“the way we do things round here”, Charles Handy) is a key determinant of delivering this consistency. We invite you to take a look at the way we equip boards, operating in any sector, to check they are on track to deliver their own consistency and enduring outcomes. #boardofdirectors #iod #trustees #governance #charities

Since joining Prosperity 24/7, I've come to realise that there's not much that brings us together like a good Love to Ride challenge. We managed to top our respective leaderboards in the recent May challenge, although Greener Kirkcaldy gave us an excellent run for our money. We got new people involved in the challenge, we saved an estimated 546lb CO2 through cycling instead of driving and as well as cheering on our usual stalwarts, I also discovered which colleagues will come through last thing on a Friday and undertake a round-the-island-cycle for the extra miles... Sure, winning is fun but what's really nice is to see the behaviour changes starting to take root in the segment of our company that aren't die-hard cyclists (and I include myself in that). Last September I noted that I'm a reluctant cyclist but I'm becoming less reluctant and more willing to do that commute by bicycle. I've also noticed our bike store becoming busier and less frequent cyclists populating the Love to Ride feed more often. That's no mean feat. As someone who deals with change while delivering projects, change isn't always easy to embed but I've always been a fan of gamification as motivation in the right settings. And one of those right settings will be Prosperity Day in September, when our colleagues and clients will compete for bragging rights but also for the much better reason of raising money for charity - this year, we're supporting Healing Waves UK and Jersey Hospice Care - two very deserving charities. So, if you want to do your part, why not sign up for or donate to the tenth Prosperity Day? https://lnkd.in/eFAaUGGf #Lovetoride #change #prosperityday #healingwaves #hospice #charity #cycling
It's #WorldBicycleDay! So what better day to tell you that the 10th edition of Prosperity Day is ready to launch! 🚀 So far we've raised £160,000 for charity and this year we want to raise £40,000 for Jersey Hospice Care and Healing Waves UK Our annual charity fundraising event sees corporate rivals go ‘head to head to head’ in a fast paced stationary cycling challenge. Using our brand new Wahoo KICKR bikes to complete a virtual 30 minute race using 3D Race technology, teams of three will compete against each other to gain race day points which are added to their all important fundraising total and will see who tops the podium. 🚴♂️ 🚴♀️ 🚴♂️ Team captains, get your team mates ready and sign up here https://lnkd.in/eCS2ijBA #GreatMindsAlways #ProsperityDay #Clients #Colleagues #Community #Charity #VentYourFury #CorporateRivalry

I thought cycling across the USA was an achievement until I met Greg Collins in a bar in New York. He told me he is going to row across the Atlantic unassisted. Cycling for 36 days and taking on the hills of the Rockies and the Apalachians suddenly seemed a pretty tame effort compared to the mid Atlantic storms in a small rowing boat. All these ventures need financial support so if you can help Greg with sponsorship please contact him at greg.collins@jpreis.com He is raising money for two great charities The Matt Hampson Foundation and the Essex and Herts air Ambulance. Safe journey Greg, you have my respect.

It's inspiring to witness athletes like #CameronNorrie leading the charge in addressing climate change, ensuring the sustainability of sports in the face of environmental challenges. Additionally, the transition of sports grounds towards implementing carbon sink practices marks a positive shift, demonstrating proactive efforts to reduce carbon emissions and promote environmental stewardship. Furthermore, there's an exciting opportunity for corporate sponsorship to align with sustainability goals by supporting sporting initiatives that remove CO2e emissions and provide biodiversity gain associated with sports events. This not only benefits the environment but also enhances the reputation of both the corporations and the sports organizations involved, setting a commendable example for other industries to follow suit in combatting climate change.
🎾ICYMI: 5x ATP Tour Titleist, Cameron Norrie, has offset all 28 tournament trips in 2023 🗣️ “I try my best now to reduce my carbon footprint where I can, from cycling everywhere to taking the train when possible” he says 🏆 Norrie finished third on the Carbon Tracker leaderboard and donated $20,000 to Sported, a charity for sustainability initiatives at grassroots clubs and other young communities in the UK 🔖 Read: : https://lnkd.in/erd7GZNb #sportpositive #greensports #sportsforclimateaction #ATPTour #tennis

🧩✨ #AutismAwareness Top 36 Golf Course Rankings: Post 24 - Course #13⛳️ 🧩 💰 DONATE - Please help us get there by donating $36 today: https://lnkd.in/e4MFcQfd To represent the 1 in 36 kids affected by Autism in the US, I will be counting down my Top 36 Golf Courses that I have ever played with a short story/memory for each. If you could please consider donating $36 (or more) to Els for Autism via the link above, I would appreciate it ❤️ Golf Course #13 - Yeamans Hall Club Is it possible to capture the beauty, history, and vibe of an entire state into a single golf course? For the state of South Carolina, I believe Yeamans Hall does just that. Sitting just 12 miles from downtown Charleston and designed by one of my favorites, Seth Raynor, in 1924, Yeamans Hall sits on land that used to be the site of a 17th century plantation owned by the Yeamans family. When the country club was founded, it was built to attract wealthy northern financial men to Charleston in the fall and winter with 200-300 house sites. Today, it continues to be a successful private club with what I imagine to be one of the toughest waiting lists to add your name to in the country. What makes Yeamans Hall my favorite in South Carolina? People have asked me when making this list what criteria I’ve used, and it really comes down to three things: 1) The feeling you have when playing it, 2) How well you can remember each hole after the round, and 3) How badly you want to tee it up again on #1 after tapping in on #18. Maybe I’m biased because I grew up in SC, but for me, I’ve never played a course which puts me in a calmer/happier mental state and one where I want to tee it up again on #1 after I’m finished than Yeamans. It’s just such a fun course to play! If you have had the pleasure of playing it, I’m curious to hear if you enjoyed it as much as me ⛳️
