On 11th July 2024, Essential Drugs Limited and Biochem - Feed Safety for Food Safety® recently hosted a seminar on mycotoxin management at Serena Hotel in Kampala- Uganda. Our Susan Leitich shared the insights on mycotoxin challenges in Uganda and our speakers Cornelia Becker , Dr. James Ngunjiri ,Melanie Frisch and Michael Mugo delved deep on the different toxin categories and its effects on health, production and economy whilst providing solutions for mycotoxin management. The event brought together farmers and professionals in the feed industry with a common goal of producing safe and nutritious feeds for our livestock. The seminar allowed for an interactive session among the attendees on the challenges they’ve faced and the steps being taken to curb mycotoxin contamination in their grains and finished feed.
