Dear HR Professionals, In the realm of Human Resources, we're often the unsung heroes, diligently ensuring the gears of organizations run smoothly. But amidst our dedication to others' careers, let's not forget to advocate for our own. Why? Because we are the architects of workplace culture, the guardians of employee well-being, and the catalysts for positive change. Our expertise and insights are invaluable, and it's time we recognize our worth. Advocating for our careers means seeking opportunities for growth, pursuing professional development, and championing our achievements. It means standing up for fair compensation, demanding respect, and carving out paths for advancement. Remember, advocating for ourselves isn't selfish; it's essential. By investing in our own growth and fulfillment, we become even more effective champions for those we serve. Let's lead by example and show the world the true power of HR. So, to my fellow HR professionals, I urge you: advocate for your career, empower yourself, and watch as you transform not only your own trajectory but also the organizations you serve. 💼💫

Human Resources isn’t just about the tasks performed during the employment life cycle. HR = Human Equity. In the past companies enjoyed streamlining work during the Industrial Revolution via the assembly line. For that period of time it worked. Today’s workforce requires thought and innovation. Invest time and space in your team. 1. Identify your internal leadership (this includes those without the inherent title). 2. Create space for them to think on assigned or volunteered projects. 3. Enjoy your new Equity in greater soft or hard returns.

Celebrating World HR Day: A Tribute to Our Unsung Heroes Dear Colleagues, Today, on World HR Day, we pause to recognize and celebrate the invaluable contributions of Human Resources professionals around the globe. This day is not just about acknowledging a job, but about honoring a calling that is often overlooked and misunderstood. The career path of an HR professional is not for the faint-hearted. It is a journey marked by challenges and complexities, where the rewards are not always immediate or visible. It’s hard to be fair enought, communicate enought and engage enought. Our work is frequently met with skepticism and critique, yet we persist with unwavering dedication trying to please any individual. We navigate through the intricate maze of organizational dynamics, balancing the delicate scales of employee welfare and business objectives. In the face of such adversity, it is easy for our efforts to go unnoticed, our triumphs overshadowed by the occasional missteps that are inevitable in any human-centered role. Yet, despite the lack of widespread recognition, HR professionals continue to rise to the occasion, embodying resilience and compassion in their quest to foster healthy and productive work environments. It is essential to remember that behind every complaint and every criticism lies a story of effort, of countless hours spent striving to make a positive impact. Our roles may often seem thankless, but the true measure of our success lies in the lives we touch and the differences we make. Consider the HR professional who guides a struggling employee through personal and professional crises, offering support and solutions that extend far beyond the workplace. Think of the countless families whose futures are secured through the benefits and opportunities we champion. Reflect on the transformations we drive within organizations, paving the way for cultures of inclusion, diversity, and growth. These are the silent victories, the unseen moments of triumph that define our profession. We are the custodians of human potential, the architects of organizational success. Our influence reaches far and wide, touching not just the lives of employees, but also their families, communities, and ultimately, the world at large. Today, let us celebrate the remarkable individuals who dedicate their careers to Human Resources. Let us acknowledge their unwavering commitment, their empathy, and their tireless efforts to make a difference. To all HR professionals, thank you for your hard work, your perseverance, and your unrelenting spirit. You are the unsung heroes of every organization, and today, we celebrate you. With deepest gratitude, Carla Fabri

Happy International HR Day to all my fellow HR professionals! 🎉 Working in HR isn’t easy. We are often the “bearer of bad news”, so we end up being the people nobody wants to see walk into the office. But we also do a lot of a great work. We help people find jobs and advance in their career. We support people when they are in need of accommodations or LOA’s. We are there when people need to report misconduct. We help to maintain fairness and equity in the workplace. The list could go on forever… Don’t let the negative stereotype of HR get you down. Take today to celebrate your wins and the good you do for people everyday.

International HR Day – A Soliloquy Today, social media is flooded with messages celebrating International HR Day. As I reflect on this, I wonder whether referring to humans as resources adds value to us or diminishes it. When we think of resources, we think of using them as a means to an end. This concept has become so ingrained in our psyche that we view everything, including ourselves, as resources. We feel guilty when we are not productive enough or when we fail to utilize our time effectively. In the process, we are losing the very essence of our being—the essence of being human. I believe it is dehumanizing to refer to people as human resources. Why not rename it to 'Human Potential'? Can’t we call it Human Potential Management or Human Potential Development? Instead of using people and loving things, let us start loving people and using things. Let us shift our focus from resource to potential. Let us embark on a journey of becoming our best possible selves and let organizations facilitate this process. In doing so, the organizations will also achieve their peak potential. Instead of celebrating HR Day, let us start celebrating Human Actualization Day.
