What an exciting week! Here are some insights from the Nordic EV Summit which took place in Oslo. At the Nordic EV Summit, we launched our new brand identity and unveiled HARMON-E, our powerful load & energy management platform, marking a BIG step towards smarter, greener EV charging solutions. 🌍🔌 It was clear, from our many discussions with charging professionals and CPOs that load & energy management is more than ever a HOT TOPIC 💪⚡ We announced our collaboration with Pixii AS, integrating stationary batteries to revolutionize EV charging. This partnership underscores our dedication to innovation and efficiency 💡 Stay tuned for more info. The summit was also a stage for significant industry innovations - to mention a few: Ekoenergetyka unveiled its cutting-edge hardware at the Nordic EV Summit, introducing a game-changer for EV charging: the fusion of the SAT 400 satellite and Axon Side 360 DLBS power unit. This dynamic duo revolutionizes power management, ensuring every EV gets a minimum of 60 kW across up to six charging points—a major boost for charge point efficiency.👏 Meanwhile, Kempower revealed their Megawatt Charging System, specially designed for heavy-duty electric vehicles. Today, I signed my first frame contract with Freiburger Akademie GmbH & Co. KG, well known experts for all kind of change management. We already collaborated in my former position and I am looking forward to the next level of partnership. Josef Mast, Linus Mast, and Leon Mast, thanks for your great startup support!   Our first joint project will be a new consortium with BIT Ingenieure AG and COBIS - Concept Center Blue Business. We intend to push site development to the next level by including sustainable concepts for renewable energy with a high degree of autarky ("Baulanderschliessung mit Energiekonzept"). It includes heating, cooling, electricity, and storing of energy to bridge the day-night as well as the summer-winter gap. I am deeply impressed by the unbelievalble amount and speed of innovations in this area and it feels great to work on this very important topic - and hopefully to contribute to the German #Energiewende.   My role is to develop high level IT concepts and to safeguard efficient implementation during site development. Having my own private solar power system (including storage for day-night gap), wallbox, and driving a full electric vehicle, I know well how much challenges current IT solutions still have. Especially interoperability of components is often lacking - some vendors do still follow a closed system philosophy. Not to mention user friendliness or additional concepts for district autarky. Overall: Considering IT, there is a long way to go for us (as IT) and there are still way too few expert players in the market. Thanks to Susanne Zimmermann, Volker Mörgenthaler, Arno Linder, Michael Zürn, Robin Zuern, and Marc Zürn for the great spirit and getting the chance to be part of the team. Still reflecting on the impressions from the Nordic EV Summit ten days ago in Oslo, Norway. 🌍🚗 I was absolutely thrilled to have been part of the presentation showcasing Kempower new Megawatt Charging System (MCS).⚡️🔋 The new charging system is based on the existing state-of-the-art modular charging system base of Kempower which will provide significant CAPEX and OPEX savings for charging operators - with one 1.2 Megawatt Power Unit, not only the new Mega Satellites can be connected, but also several Liquid Cooled or simple Satellites with CCS2 connectors, to charge electric buses, trucks, or light electric vehicles when the MCS is not in use. Charging prioritization will be ensured by Kempower's ChargEye software. 🔄💡 Thus, charging operators will not need to invest separately in a standing MCS charging unit, the load of which will objectively be very low only for MCS charging in the first years, and + 1.2 Megawatt DSO connection usage fee must be paid in many countries at a fixed rate, regardless of the actual load of the connection. Therefore, by investing in one charging system, it will provide both faster return on investment and effectively ensure more efficient connection load, reducing the "empty payment" for connection usage. 💼💰 It was pleasant that representatives from Kempower's global partners Milence , Scania Group and TSG Group also participated in the presentation and expressed their opinions. 🌐🤝 For a glimpse, here's a short video where Kempower's Chief Marketing Officer Jussi Vanhanen and Fleets Segment Owner Moritz Vornfeld unveil the new MCS equipment. Wow. Bosch plans to acquire 100% of the Johnson Controls–Hitachi Air Conditioning joint venture, including Hitachi’s 40% percent stake, and integrate the acquired businesses into the Bosch Home Comfort Group. 😮 Hitachi’s more complex heat pumps are manufactured in Barcelona ES, with less complicated systems assembled in China from the usual Sanhua components. Nice units overall. It seems the HVAC market is ultra-concentrating. A few megacorporations providing our conditioned survival on a deranged planet. Good or bad? What do you think?

🍃 For a more sustainable tomorrow: Soon, the construction of our new photovoltaic carport will start at our Bosch Research Campus in Renningen, Germany. Covering more than 1,200 car park spaces, the carport makes parking for our associates more comfortable and contributes to our sustainability efforts. 🙌 ⚡ Generating around 4,000 megawatt hours per year, it could not only provide enough electricity to power 1,000 4-person-households for a year, but would also allow you to drive around 23 million kilometers fully electric (17 kWh/100 km).
