Costco Wholesale, a long-time corporate donor of Breakfast Club of Canada, is once again organizing a back-to-school fundraising campaign to benefit Breakfast Club of Canada. From September 9 to 15, customers are invited to donate to the Club, either at the checkout or online. A huge thank-you from everyone at BCC to Costco Wholesale, more than a hundred participating warehouses and the employees who are supporting this campaign. With your help, more children across the country will have access to a nutritious breakfast so they can start their day with the energy they need to learn. #BelieveInBreakfast

Such a fascinating debate on the funding of core costs for charities. What are your thoughts? Is the landscape of core cost funding changing for the better or worse? For me, core cost funding allows charities to breathe that little bit easier and focus on service delivery, rather than how the next bill is going to be paid or having to restrict services in any way so that those bills can be paid. I personally think there are *some* funders opening themselves up to the idea of broad, unrestricted funding, but there is still SUCH a long way to go. I am always trying to "find an angle", or almost create a project just to be eligible for funding form a certain trust/foundation. It would be such a relief to just demonstrate what our core costs are (which are always shown in our highly regulated and audited published accounts) and see what support can be obtained. #trustfundraising #corecosts #fundraising #charityfundraising #charity
