As part of our commitment to Health and Safety, we work with the Mineral Products Association MPA Precast to promote their core values as part of our business and away from business operations. To that end, this week is National Drowning Prevention Week. Accidental drowning is on the rise, especially in children, with a total of 125 children losing their lives to drowning in the last four years. Please remember: if you ever find yourself in this situation, the best way to stay safe is to follow the Water Safety Code: ➡️ Stop and Think – Take time to assess your surroundings. Look for dangers and always research local signs and advice. ➡️ Stay Together – When around water, always go with friends and family and swim in a lifeguarded venue. ➡️ Call 999 – Ask for the Fire and Rescue Service when inland or the Coastguard if at the coast. Don't enter the water to rescue ➡️ Float – Fall in or become tired – stay calm, float on your back and call for help. Throw something that floats to somebody who has fallen in. Would you know what to do?
