Educating Soldiers about military retirement, advising and advocating for one million Retired Soldiers
When you realize that you can't stay in the military forever . . . Then transition to a Veteran's life is your next mission. How long does that take? This is not a PCS move or something you've done before. Plan on 2-3 years of part time study and thinking if you want to succeed. Would you go into combat without a plan or knowing the terrain and enemy capabilities? Of course you wouldn't. You want to succeed. Did you become a military expert after attending basic training or the basic officer course? Of course you didn't. You put years and much study into it. Military transition is not different. This book by Algrish Williams, Sr., MPA is a good starting point to understand the terrain that is called military transition. #soldierforlife

The Green Beret Foundation (GBF) launched the Pineland Initiative on November 10, 2021. This new campaign focuses on expanding the Foundation’s scope of services to include pre-9/11 U.S. Army Special Forces soldiers and their families. The Pineland Initiative, which launched in 2022, reflects a 3-year phased approach to growth and expansion of existing programs and services to accommodate the needs of the pre-9/11 Green Beret population. One key aspect of this expansion is the welcoming of additional Veteran Service Officers (VSOs) onboard GBF staff to meet the anticipated greater need for assistance with the preparation and prosecution of Veterans Affairs benefits and disability claims. These new VSOs will bring with them the added benefit of providing a Foundation presence geographically located at each of the five Active Duty Special Forces Groups, and two National Guard Special Forces Groups, located around the country. The name “Pineland” pays tribute to the shared legacy of Green Berets, past and present. This initiative is well-timed, as the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the U.S. Army Special Forces will be commemorated this coming June 19th. With Pineland being the first initiative in GBF’s history to support Green Berets of all generations, there’s an opportunity to honor those that laid the groundwork to make the Green Berets the world’s premier, elite special operations force. The GBF is asking that those wishing to support the Pineland Initiative campaign consider making a commitment of support to the Foundation at the amount of just a $12 monthly recurring contribution. #greenberet #specialforces #militaryfamilies #veteransupport #Pineland #greenberetfoundation
The Pineland Initiative of the Green Beret Foundation extended access to our comprehensive programs and services to all generations of U.S. Army Special Forces soldiers and their families. During the 1930s, the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy dominated nascent American cryptologic efforts. Unfortunately, Army Signal Intelligence Service (SIS) and Navy OP-20-G operated as autonomous organizations, with little dialogue or cooperation taking place between them. In the absence of formal agreements, much of the early cooperation between the Army and the Navy in cryptanalytic work was due to the personal relationship between the SIS's William Friedman and OP-20-G's Laurance Safford. It was CDR Safford’s realization that the work of the SIS greatly improved upon existing cipher machines that led to the development of what the Army called the SIGABA and the Navy called the ECM-Mark II. By either name, it protected U.S. high-level communications. It was the only machine system used during WWII that remained completely unbroken by an enemy. It was so complicated that the Axis powers never broke it and gave up trying. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eS83HiS6

3x Combat ARMY veteran with a Bronze Star in combat! Be careful who you judge! We talk about wanting to be a part of the United States Army and the new recruiting system. We discuss how other countries require mandatory military service, and how that can make people better. We emphasize that joining the Army doesn't change who you are, but rather helps you become more educated and understand important life lessons, like pre-combat checks and inspections. The key message is that by changing your algorithm, you can change your life. US Army Jared Jerrick, PMP #Army #Recruiting #LifeLessons #PersonalGrowth #Algorithm
