Storytelling about benefits for working in the industry (such as career development) is key! 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵: Hotel brands are empowering their leaders with the tools to support their staff by ensuring they have mental health first-aid programs, while putting health & wellbeing at the forefront to attract talent and retain staff. 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝘃𝘀 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲: with customer expectations continuing to rise, brands are having to re-imagine what great customer experiences look like, and how they leave their guests feeling. David Sude (QT Hotels and Resorts) shared, "Every brand has their own DNA, there is no right and wrong and they deliver a different experience and have got to be really passionate to thrive in this space." 𝗣𝘂𝘀𝗵 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱: a push towards franchised over managed hotels provides operators a balance between global brand identity and local ownership, allowing global recognition but with the flexibility to execute at a local level with supply partners, giving them more choice.
