AI Literacy Day marks a nationwide initiative to explore "What is AI?" This day of action aims to demystify artificial intelligence for students, parents, educators, and community members and fuel conversations about responsible AI usage.
Our resident expert on the topic, Jared Colley, has this to say, “The future is here, and it involves powerful generative AI technologies whose signs and outputs could easily be mistaken for wonders. How many of us really understand how AI works? As we aim to adopt the right AI tools, platforms, and applications, we also have to develop in collaboration with our students an AI literacy, an understanding of AI, that informs how we respond to the signs and outputs of these wondrous, yet unpredictable, machines. Otherwise we will be doing a lot of unlearning in the near future, much like we’ve had to do with Social Media over the last decade. Let’s not whiff it this time.”
Join us in celebrating April 19th as #AILiteracyDay, and as we work together to navigate the significance of #AI in our society and empower learners and #educators with the knowledge to thrive in the technological era.
