Kitchen pantry products? Don't mind if I do! I'm pretty picky about pantry organization products... because a lot of them are a waste of money. 1: Look for products with straight edges and 90-degree corners- anything else will be a waste of space! 2: A clear shoebox with a lid allows you to stack organized groups of food (granola bars in one, cookies in another, etc) 3: Decanting only works if you're willing to put in the time, and you buy the exact right amount of product. Construction on Camden Park continues as this aerial view shows progress on the food and beverage pavilion, which will be the home of the onsite restaurant, Sunday Press. Sunday Press, will be patterned after a similar concept in Oak Forest. The restaurant will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner — offering counter-service with a menu designed to appeal to those living and working nearby. They curate healthy food options, fresh baked goods, daily brunch and house-made syrups for a full coffee experience. There will be air-conditioned, indoor seating at Sunday Press, in addition to outdoor seating. Sunday Press will offer a wine and beer menu, allowing adults to take their food and beverages upstairs to the covered sky terrace. The park will feature a 16,000-square-foot activity lawn with a multi-purpose pavilion for free concerts and cultural performances, a children's play area, enclosed dog park (one for small pups and one for larger dogs). The park will offer an outdoor reading room with books, exercise stations, space for food trucks and farmers market vendors, plus restrooms. Should street space be used for outdoor dining or car parking? 🥗 🅿 Or something else? 🚘 🚲 🌳 🚌 In The Age today Cara Waters reports on a popular Balwyn cafe and bar parklet that has been ordered to shut down after local traders complained about it taking up three car parks - https://lnkd.in/gBZN_mFc Street space allocation can be a particular point of tension between state and local governments, traders and residents. Infrastructure Victoria is working on bringing some more evidence to the discussion. Can you help us out? We're looking for examples of street space reallocation projects on busy shopping streets across Australia over the last 15 years. We're looking for: - specific streets, including addresses if possible (e.g. 1-100 Anywhere Street, Newtown) - the year the changes were made (must be 2010 or later) - the type of change that was implemented (e.g. adding bike lanes/changing public transport/closing roads/adding or removing car parks) - or as many of the above as possible! We're going to use these examples to analyse differences in trading revenues for local businesses before and after changes are made to streets. I went to store groceries in my PG fridge and realized there wasn't enough space. It was overcrowded with a mix of fresh and spoiled items, leaving insufficient room for everyone else. This situation exemplifies the Tragedy of the commons. When a common amenity, such as a shared fridge for hostelers, is provided, we assume everyone will get a fair share of space. However, in reality, these amenities are often misused due to a lack of sufficient regulation or consideration for the collective good. In Real Estate, similar scenarios can occur with shared workspaces, cafeteria supplies, common air conditioning systems, and more. To prevent the tragedy of the commons, the following solutions might help: - Establish clear policies and guidelines for the use of common resources. - Implement accountability systems such as booking management and check-in systems to hold people accountable. - Ensure regular maintenance and restocking of shared services to maintain the demand and supply balance. The Orlando City Council voted early this week to update and make more permanent changes to the downtown parklet program. The program started in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, allowing restaurants and other businesses to offer outdoor seating to combat the spread of the virus, and was updated in 2021. Funded by the Community Redevelopment Agency, the program lets restaurants and other businesses use parking spaces and large sidewalk areas to host guests in an indoor-outdoor operational area. The city council unanimously voted Monday, ahead of the July 18 expiration of the current version of the program, to approve updates to the program to help move away from temporary fixtures and toward more permanent, safer solutions. Changes to the program include new rules and a review process for establishing different types of parklets, rules for removal of parklets and updated safety requirements. #RedevelopmentWorks #Redevelopment #FloridaRedevelopment #MyFRA #FLRedevelopment #orlandoCRA
