Halting the extinction crisis isn’t just about saving a species when it’s dwindled to only a few. It’s also about keeping track of animals and plants as they begin to decline so we can intervene with solutions before it’s too late. A 2024 study offered a sobering global assessment of where things stand with all types of species. It wasn't a good outlook. The Center fights wildlife decline by protecting habitat, reining in pollution and wildlife exploitation, pushing for Endangered Species Act protections and battling industrial agriculture, climate change and more. It’s ongoing and wildlife trafficking is rampant still. Virus’s🦠 is still mutating 😔 🔄 🪱🦟 🦇 🐦
Heartbreaking.
The developers are taking all of the land and building more housing and commercial buildings in my area. The animal habitats are shrinking and so we see different animals in our neighborhoods not there previously. We don't chase them off but some animals cannot safely coexist. A better option would be for city/county/state land managers to restore and convert the unwanted existing properties to make them attractive to buyers.
Thanks all for your efforts in #Rewilding #WetlandsRestoration #WildlifeCorridors...! 🐝🌱💧🐟
Wow those are large percentages.
⬆️ Gregory LeClair 63% of amphibians in decline !!!
Very disturbing findings…are the humans watching n listening? I hope this information is spread widely n the world listens… seems so many are deaf to the importance of wildlife to man n the planet.
