Cosmetics to launch their Glow Reviver Lip Oil went from insight to idea: 🚨 Problem: People admit to holding on to their old make-up way past the expiry date, even when they don’t use it anymore - 'just in case' they need it someday.  💡 Insight: We need reminding when it's time to change our lip products - like cars need reminding it's time for an oil change. 💎 Strategy: Give people an unforgettable reminder that it’s time to change up their lip products.  💄 Idea: We’ll create a pop up ‘Lip Oil Change Station’ so e.l.f. fans can get their “oil changed” — aka exchange an old lip product for a new lip oil! Huge congrats to the whole team who worked on this and the fantastic e.l.f. clients who said "YES" to the idea and made it a reality on Wall Street at the NYSE this week! Connection to culture matters more than ever. This means that you if you have a genuine connection to the culture of the people you are aiming to reach. In our case, we know them because we are them. When you’re deeply connected to culture, you can move much faster and more effectively than those who are not. We don’t need to spend six months immersing ourselves in a company to help them reach their goals. We fly in like a hit squad and get quantifiable results ASAP. Large ad agencies are feeling the pain, laying off hundreds while we’re steadily growing. Why? Aside from the fact that Oscar Pena and I are two charming mofongo-eating New Yorkers, we believe this is because of our relentless transparency and effectiveness. Our connection to culture is our superpower. “This is the best campaign we’ve ever had,” said by all of our clients. We're blessed to work on a variety of exciting projects - from smaller brand initiatives to high-end development applications. Often, we start with small projects that grow into bigger opportunities. This growth usually comes from our approach: serving our clients' needs rather than pushing our own agenda. A couple of years ago, we created a custom March Madness bracket for Great American Family, allowing their viewers to vote on their favorite Christmas movies. It was a fun project that ran alongside the basketball frenzy. But it didn't end there. We've consistently partnered with them on various projects since. This week, our team Ardent Creative Inc proudly launched the Christmas Event site for Great American Family. It's a testament to how small beginnings can lead to significant, ongoing collaborations. It was awesome to be among 250+ storytellers, marketers and creative professionals representing communities and destinations doing great work at City Nation Place in #Houston this week! In addition to partnering with Patience Fairbrother on a talent attraction roundtable and releasing DCI's Talent Wars report, I left feeling so inspired about place marketing and the work that we do at Development Counsellors International. Here are just a few of my favorite takeaways. #CNPAmericas24 #econdev #destinationmarketing   1️⃣ Your brand is not your logo. You must answer who you are and your brand ethos first. 2️⃣ Slow down and do the research. Know that it takes time to listen to your community, talk with residents, partners and stakeholders, and understand outside perceptions. 3️⃣ Your story must be based on authenticity. Your actions create your narrative. Find authentic creators and storytellers within your community and partner with them. 4️⃣ People support what they co-create. Make sure to involve your stakeholders, community and partners. They will then become your community's best ambassadors and cheerleaders.  5️⃣ Collaboration is worth the effort. Building trust among your community partners takes time. Lean into what you're good at and allow partners to bring their strengths to the table too.
