The success of the #Paris2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games is undeniable at this point. The beauty of the city and its landmarks, the location of the venues, the impeccable organization, the committed volunteers, the level of the athletes, the impressive television production, the media coverage… and also the technology. Atos has been instrumental in this area, not only delivering and operating critical applications for the games (like the volunteers portal, workforce management, accreditations, all competition information on the official website and mobile app, results information delivered to commentators and media,…) but also planning, coordinating, and integrating different providers, and securing the full IT landscape. The result has been spectacular: - Over 1,026 events in the Olympic and Paralympic schedules, with results transmitted to fans, journalists, and broadcasters almost in real-time. - 233 million unique users of the Paris 2024 website (most viewed page: Schedule). - 18 million downloads of the Paris 2024 mobile application (most viewed page: Medals) and an average of 20 million unique users per day during the Olympic Games. - Over 10,000 daily users of MyInfo, the dedicated website for journalists and the Olympic Family. - More than 400,000 accreditations managed for the Olympic Games and 240,000 for the Paralympic Games; 3.7 million scans during the Games. - Over 300,000 applicants to the volunteer program, with 45,000 volunteers selected. - A record number of 1,894 workstations with the on-site and remote Commentators Information System. - 250,000 hours of testing over 15 months to assess the performance of the critical applications. - AI technology delivered successfully for workforce management and in our MDR solution for cybersecurity #Atos and #Eviden have shown to the world what we can achieve together. This has been a team work, delivered not only from Paris but from other locations globally, so congratulations to everyone who has contributed to this success. #AdvancingWhatMatters #WorldwideITPartner

Have you seen Channel 4 ‘s promo ad for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games yet? Irreverent. Hard hitting. Compelling. At a little over 2 mins, “Considering What?" is the latest of their powerful campaigns that highlight these incredible athletes to challenge patronising attitudes and change perceptions about disability. Replacing its ‘Superhumans’ forerunner, this campaign challenges people to view Paralympians as elite, world-class athletes, not as competitors “overcoming” their disabilities. https://lnkd.in/eikxjzqQ Created by Channel 4’s multi-award-winning in-house agency, 4creative, the film captures the reactions of people as they watch Paralympic sport which, although well intentioned, are misguided and don’t appreciate Paralympians for what they are – world class athletes. Rather than showing the athletes “overcoming their disabilities”, the film depicts Paralympians taking on and overcoming forces such as gravity, friction and time – the impassionate elements and unchangeable forces of our world – that make no exception for any athlete, regardless of someone’s disability. A world-class concept worthy of the world-class sportsmen and women it showcases. Kudos to Channel 4 for their dedication to promoting the Paralympics and for the enthusiastic audience that it has successfully cultivated. Its coverage of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games reached over 20 million viewers, which is a third of the UK population. Additionally, their innovative approach on social media garnered 4.1 million views on TikTok. #Paralympics #Inclusion #Diversity #Channel4 #Respect #GlobalCommunity

The 2024 Olympics are coming to an end this weekend, and there's been some absolutely fantastic marketing around it. 🏃🏼 Starting with the clever and inspiring Channel 4 Paralympics ad, which personified unchangeable forces and showed how Paralympic athletes overcame their challenges, this creative campaign was a result of collaboration between Channel 4 and inclusive marketing agency Purple Goat Agency. Another great Paralympics ad was the one created by the organisation itself, showing beautifully animated athletes challenging clichés surrounding the games. OMEGA also smashed its Olympics campaign by creating an immersive video that shows athletes 'competing' across Paris's most famous landmarks, or inside OMEGA's watches. ⌚ Aside from the high-production campaigns, there have been plenty of Olympics-style posts across all socials that have gained some really good traction! What were some of your favourite Olympics ads this year? #Marketing #MarketingAgency #Olympics2024 #OlympicsMarketing

As a French company, headquartered in Paris, we’re incredibly proud of the fantastic coverage at this year’s Olympics. Paris truly was a great host and now we look forward to the start of the Paralympics next week. 🇫🇷 It was great to see some new sports inaugurated this year, representing the increasing diversity and participation in different sporting activities. 🛹 We’ve already seen that the IOC lent its support to the first-ever Virtual Olympics Series in the runup to the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 and it seems like the Committee may have its eyes on the inclusion of esports for the next Games in Los Angeles in 2028. 🇺🇸 With strong growth in all major areas of esports, particularly with the younger demographic across the world, including esports could increase the appeal of the Olympics and engage new audiences. 🎮 Whether or not it is sanctioned for inclusion remains to be seen but we’re keeping an eye open further news. 👀 Have your say in the comments. Do you think we’ll ever see the likes of CS2 or LoL at the Olympic Games in the future? 🤔 #OlympicGames #Paris2024 #Esports #IOC #LA2028 #EsportsOlympics #PandaScore
