Meet Fabby Williams, Ed.D., deputy superintendent in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools and a member of our new cohort of #FutureChiefs. We’re pleased to introduce this esteemed group as they begin a year and a half of intensive leadership development programming this month.

Did you know that nearly 40% of students read at a level considered below basic? Among underrepresented groups, that rate is even higher. Instructional practices grounded in the science of reading could benefit more than 90% of students. Chiefs for Change is answering that call by bringing leaders together to collaborate and design research-based literacy spaces for all students. Today, we held the first session of our latest Community of Practice: Science of Reading for Every Student. #earlyreaders
