𝙏𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙞𝙧 🌱 What does the respect for #terroir mean for Mauro Molino winery? Since the first wine produced, we dedicated all our energy in understanding our 𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙞𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙣, the #land of elevation where our grape grow. With the same passion, nowadays we continue to work tying every wine to the #territory from which it comes. We therefore vinify each #plot separately to preserve its own characteristics. An extraordinary land, a mosaic of vineyards that according to the specific exposure, altitude, soil and microclimate is able to reflect a unique and intrinsic identity. 🍇 This is a pillar that guides our production style, this is the importance of our terroir. #mauromolinowinery #mauromolinowines #singlevineyard #terroir #lamorra

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗶𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶 The vineyards of the Giovanni Menti's winery are rooted into the #volcanicsoils of Gambellara, a small town based close to the city of Vicenza. 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗸, 𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘀 and rich in 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀, these terrains made up with tuff and basalt, are able to hold a good level of humidity while letting the roots of the vines to go deep into the soil, granting an optimal 𝗵𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 and a 𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲; the minerals present into the soil are also absorbed by the vines roots, leading to a final wine with a strong and 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿. The volcanic soil can hold 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁 and radiate it through the vineyards, 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 the growing season and 𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴, naturally, the 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗲𝘀 𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 so that they will give birth to an elegant and concentrated wine, characterized by 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 and 𝘀𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗱𝗶𝘁𝘆. These precious soils mark a robust and sinuous 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆, able to make each Menti wine one-of-a-kind, extremely identifiable and pure. #uvaitaly #giovannimenti #naturalwine #biodynamicwine #volcanicwine

"Diving into the Piedirosso Wines from Vesuvius 🍇🌋 Nestled in the fertile soils surrounding Mount Vesuvius, Piedirosso wines stand as a testament to the rich viticultural heritage of the Campania region. Derived from indigenous grapes, these wines embody the unique terroir and volcanic character of their birthplace. Piedi Rossi, or "red feet" in Italian, owes its name to the red coloration of the grape stalks and undersides of the leaves, a distinctive feature of this ancient varietal. Historically, it has been a cornerstone of winemaking in the region, prized for its versatility and ability to convey the essence of the volcanic soil. Characterized by its medium body and vibrant acidity, Piedirosso wines offer a symphony of flavors that range from juicy red fruits to earthy undertones, with a subtle hint of minerality imparted by the volcanic terrain. These wines are known for their approachability in their youth, yet possess the structure and depth to age gracefully over time. As we raise our glasses to Piedirosso, let's celebrate the dedication of the winemakers who tirelessly work the land, nurturing the vines to produce wines that are as distinctive and expressive as the landscape from which they originate. #PiedirossoWines #VesuvianWine #CampaniaWineCulture #ItalianWine

The elongated hills of the Langhe, in the Lower Piedmont, cut by the Tanaro Valley, outline a unique wine-growing territory, which has earned its place among UNESCO World Heritage sites. The Langhe are nestled between the Ligurian Apennines and the Monferrato, forming aligned, deep, and narrow valleys characterized by exceptional biodiversity, which, combined with the generous subsoil, ensure an incredible variety of wine production. The territorial area of Barolo and Barbaresco both toponyms that give their name to two extraordinary wines is located between the lower area of the Langhe, which extends around Alba on the border with the Roero. The treasures of the two Langhe Our itinerary winds through some municipalities of the so-called "Barolo Langhe" Barolo Verduno Cherasco Roddi Grinzane Cavour Castiglione Falletto Diano d'Alba Novello Serralunga d'Alba Monforte La Morra and those of the "Barbaresco Langhe": Barbaresco, Neive, Treiso, and Alba. A territory between sea, mountain, and hills, bordered to the south by the Ligurian Maritime Alps, to the west by the Tanaro River, to the east by the Bormida di Spigno River, and to the north by the hills of the Asti Monferrato. It is here that Nebbiolo finds its greatest expression, the flagship grape of the Langhe, superior to other grape varieties due to a series of genetic characteristics that manifest in aromatic complexity, tannic power, and greater longevity. And it is from its single-varietal vinification that Barolo and Barbaresco are obtained, just as with Pinot Noir in Burgundy, to which it resembles in terms of vineyard parcelization and the promotion of a single grape variety, but from which it differs in terms of viticultural history. https://lnkd.in/d6hAHXXb

Napa Valley just welcomed its first new American Viticultural Area (AVA) in 13 years: Crystal Springs. Here's what makes it special: Location: Nestled at the base of Howell Mountain, bordering St. Helena and Calistoga, this region is known for its unique volcanic soils and slightly cooler climate compared to the valley floor. Terroir: The volcanic soils and higher elevation contribute to wines with distinct minerality, acidity, and aging potential. Cabernet Sauvignon is expected to be a star performer here. Wineries: While mostly vineyards now, a few wineries already exist in the area, including Bremer, Viader, and Somnium (owned by race car driver Danica Patrick). History: Though just officially recognized, the AVA has a long history of grape growing, with some vineyards dating back to the 1880s. The creation of Crystal Springs as Napa's 18th AVA highlights the continued evolution and diversity of this renowned wine region. If you're a Napa enthusiast, it's definitely a region to watch and explore!

Why Ventoux will become one of the great appellations of the Southern Rhône Le Ventoux, a land of the future? Emmanuel Perrin Boasting the coolest climate in the south of the Rhône Valley and preserved landscapes, the Ventoux vineyard is popular. In recent years, the establishment of ambitious winegrowers and the rise of white wines have been the talk of the town. In the Ventoux appellation, in just 4 years, the production of white wines has increased by more than a third of its initial volumes. And more than 12% of this 5,500 hectare vineyard is already planted with white grape varieties. It must be said that the combination of limestone terroir and cool climate favors the production of a color that many vineyards in the southern zone envy in Ventoux. “Benefiting from this freshness and such thermal amplitudes, due to the proximity of Mont Ventoux, allows us to have more sparkling whites and with better acidity. In addition, our ampelographic richness, with the Grenache Blanc, Clairette but also Roussanne, Viognier, Vermentino, Bourboulenc, etc. grape varieties, constitutes a formidable toolbox for creating wide ranges in a territory that lends itself to it,” explains Frédéric. Chaudière, winemaker at Château Pesquié and president of the AOC Ventoux.
