Thank you to everyone who has already donated to the Jordan Winter Charity Drive! So far we have collected over 1.5 tons of donations which will be distributed to various local charities each week. 𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐃𝐎𝐄𝐒 𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐊? Fill in and complete the registration form - https://bit.ly/3zmqciN Registration forms will also be available when you drop off your donations at the Estate. Visit the Estate during the allocated donating times to deliver your donation and collect your wine. (Daily from 10:00 – 16:00.) All clothing donations should be washed and folded as a health and safety precaution for our staff. All clothing donations should be packed in clear plastic bags. NO BLACK BAGS of clothing will be accepted. Dog and cat food is appreciated. Yesterday we had a Board of Trustees meeting for Tigers4Ever, reviewing the financial year 2023/24 and looking forward to 24/25’s fundraising targets and priority projects. Community impact? The primary impact of this firms business model increases homelessness (currently at 10K+ homeless people on any given night) by gentrifying neighborhoods and forcing people who make less money out. "Global day for people and planet" yet the firm musters up 2 small bins of mostly dog and cat food...this doesn't even align. How about taking on projects that actually help to reduce the number of homeless people in the city instead of ones that are for the affluent population and for corporations to profit from. I hope other architecture studios in Toronto can learn from these fake displays of positive community impact. Many studios like this promote themselves as doing good but really at a foundational socio-economic level, they drive some of the biggest problems in the city. #thinkcritically #communityimpact #torontohomeless
