The CUDA Annual Conference 2024: 'Guiding Principles for the Future' is taking place this Saturday, January 27th, 2024 at the Hodson Bay Hotel Athlone. We look forward to welcoming our Owner and Affinity member credit unions as well as guests, exhibitors, and speakers. A key objective is to have delegates develop a greater understanding that the future of their credit unions is influenced by their principle / value-based decisions. Therefore, it is critical to understand what those values are. They are influenced by our past and present values and behaviors. We want attendees to leave with a greater appreciation of how they make their decisions. This will help them with future decision-making and strategic planning as they seek to avail of the opportunities that are arising. We also want attendees to gain a greater appreciation of the skills that will be required for the future they choose. 3 months into Start it Accelerate | @KBC What a ride it has been so far! My key take away’s? A lot, here are the main ones.👇 -Shareholder agreements and negotiations Do not give away to much shares in early phases. Seed and pre-seed max 20%. Take time to negotiate since this will have a major impact in further stages. -Network The network always wins, was something I was thought a lot. And during my first 3 months in start it, this was taken to a whole other level! I was able to attend some very interesting and high level network events with truly fruitful conversations and insights. -The 7 commandments of pitching Here are some: put in a smile, ask for what you want and be specific!😊🎯 -For everyone that’s starting a business and takes this seriously. Surround yourself with people that challenge you, that are pushing your limits, and that can open doors.  But also that can ask you the right questions and that are helping to get your head straights in challenging times. For me that’s exactly what start-it KBC has done so far.  I’m confident this is only the beginning and more will come. A brilliant story and so relevant for graduates in a competitive environment. Take the rejections and let them make you stronger. Go back and work on yourself while staying ambitious. 4 times Eze got rejected but someone saw his potential. That club’s trust was the start that has got him to the euros 2024. Likewise, that 5th company could get you where you want to go therefore bringing your loyalty. In this instance it was over 100 appearances for QPR. Also, you may need to start lower than the best clubs (E.g arsenal)/ companies but that dosent mean you can’t be as successful. #euros #graduation
