Internships are the perfect opportunity to explore career interests while simultaneously inviting exponential learning and personal growth. Here are 3 things I have learned throughout my internship at BIC so far: 1. It's not always about knowing the answer, but rather knowing how to find it: As interns, we aren't expected to be experts in our field, and it is okay to say "I don't know" to the questions we get asked. What matters is the initiative we take afterwards to seek out the answer with the resources we have available to us. 2. Curiosity is a catalyst for growth; ask as many questions as you have and be a "sponge:" You will have LOTS of questions as an intern, and the right workplace will always encourage you to ask them. Absorb as much information as you can as it will only make you that much more knowledgeable. 3. If you enjoy what you are doing, it won't feel like work at all: Every day I wake up feeling excited to come into work, with my passion for HR only being further ignited through this internship opportunity. I have never felt more supported being a part of #TeamBIC, and I strongly believe that everyone deserves to find a career that excites them too.

While sipping my evening coffee and sorting through folders on my laptop yesterday, I came across my internship photos. I see a constant debate about whether internships are worth it or not. Here are my two cents: When I look back at my internship days with The Coca-Cola Company, I realize that it has given me so many memories to cherish alongside the experience to work in a big team. During an internship, professionals guide and shape you to push your limits. As a result, you learn to step out of your comfort zone. And most importantly, you get to experience what working in your field would be like. For me, the additional benefits of the internship were obtaining genuine references and mentorship from the industry's top leaders. I would highly recommend internships to students as internships provide a smooth transition from college to corporate life, help build new connections in the workplace, allow you to learn more about yourself, and increase confidence in what you do. #learning #experience #LinkedInlearning #internship #students #internshipexperience

Your internship is over...now what? Navigating your professional career comes with lots of excitement and some not-so-exciting uncertainties. But as an organization passionate about equipping young professionals with the necessary tools, we're here to give you a few tips on maximizing your post-internship era! Tip 1: Connect with individuals you met during your internship.
