The Green Connection is concerned at the lack of transparency on PetroSA ‘s deal with Gazprombank. According to an AmaBhungane article Gazprom expected South African government to foot the money for the project’s development. PetroSA has already incurred an environmental liability of over R10 million which means it would put us in more debt while environmental issues have not been addressed. We need government to prioritize the IEP and develop this energy plan which will determine whether we need more refineries or to invest in climate friendly technologies. #Gaslit is a scenario-based game developed to raise awareness of what happens in business-state dealings, particularly at PetroSA. CO's HB24-1346 seeks to expand the ECMC's regulatory and permitting authority to direct air capture (DAC) facilities and to increase oversight over Class VI and related infrastructure. It also clarifies that pore space is owned by the surface owner unless explicitly severed and proposes a unitization framework for pore space--two changes that will increase certainty and foster CCS in Colorado.
