At Hurree, we pride ourselves on fostering a culture of openness, innovation, and continuous improvement. This year, we're focusing on making Hurree the best place it can be and at the start of this year we introduced a new initiative in which all employees receive a quarterly survey where they can voice their opinions anonymously. The purpose of this survey is simple but powerful: to gather honest feedback and suggestions from every team member, ensuring that we continue to grow and improve as an organization. Already, the insights we've received this year have been enlightening. The suggestions and honest feedback have sparked discussions and prompted us to introduce various activities and initiatives that have already lead to positive changes within the company. Looking forward to seeing what new suggestions we receive in the Q3 survey to continue to make Hurree the best place to work!

Uisce Éireann Irish Water is a brillant place to learn huge array of things about water and wastewater and how we bring clean safe drinking water to 1.7 million homes and 178,000 businesses. We’re a regulated business with significant commitments to deliver a resilient water services. We’ve Customer teams, a huge Operations Team who have real challenges every day to keep the water flowing. We also deliver huge strategic programmes with over 8,000 different assets from reservoirs, to pumping station, water and wastewater treatment plants and a whopping 63,000 kilometres of water pipes, much of it old and in need of upgrade. Our graduates will be exposed to the science bit, hydreology, laboratory testing of water, how we build and manage vast amount of infrastructure, to energy and to the future using renewable energy sources. Uisce Éireann Irish Water use 20% of all electricity in the public sector, to keep all of our assets running. They will also learn about leakage, about communications, finance, corporate governance, regulation and the required HR Strategy and Safety Strategies, led by our People & Safety Director, Dawn O'Driscoll They will also learn about the complexity of IT transformation and the business services and systems needed to run a complex and growing business like ours. It’s brillant to welcome our new graduates. Please ask us all plenty of questions. There is so much to learn. You’re joining a team with a brillant purpose; led by CEO Niall Gleeson and that is to enable communities all over Ireland to thrive by supporting economic growth and development and connecting much needed new homes, to a sustainable resilient water supply. Water is a precious and finite resource. We need to value and protect it more than ever before with climate change and drought now a real risk to our water supplies. Welcome everyone.

Heard this in my first meeting of the day! “Wise man learns from his mistakes, Wiser man learns from the mistakes of others, The one who has all of the answers and who knows everything, is the fool in the room. “ One of the many reasons I love mentoring the next generation of investors and entrepreneurs because if they take the opportunity to learn from the silly things I’ve done they will be better for it. One of my peers in my role before joining Allied Federal Solutions LLC always used a term from the Bible of “Seek Wise Counsel” which I’m getting better at but always have room to grow. In this new role I’m getting to learn from some brilliant corporate officers on how to build culture, build the right team, and how to serve your team. Onward and upward.
