Credit Union 1 has teamed up with The Golic Family Foundation to give out grants to local nonprofits doing great work in South Bend and Chicagoland. We are proud to announce that Weish4Ever is the first grant recipient of 2024! The Andrew Weishar Foundation (Weish4Ever) was created in honor of Andrew Weishar, who selflessly asked his younger brother Dan to pay forward the acts of kindness and generosity that had been shown to their family during his cancer battle. His legacy now lives on through Weish4Ever, a foundation dedicated to uplifting adolescents and young adults battling cancer, giving them direct financial relief. Credit Union 1 and The Golic Family Foundation are honored to support this worthy mission with a $25,000 grant. Know a worthy organization in South Bend or Chicagoland? Last fall, when we opened The Domino’s Village at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, I was profoundly moved knowing that this milestone was made possible through the generosity and extraordinary kindness of our customers across the country. Today, as we share that over $16 million was donated to St. Jude in 2023, I am reminded of that deep sense of gratitude. This remarkable achievement is a testament to our purpose to Feed the Power of Possible – where spare change and small donations, taken collectively, have provided a home and support for countless families bravely battling childhood cancer. I am immensely grateful to our customers, franchisees, and to St. Jude for their leadership in the way the world understands, treats, and defeats childhood cancer. Together, we are making a difference, one pizza - and one donation - at a time. #Dominos #StJude #FeedThePowerOfPossible

I can only echo the great words below
Communications that builds audiences, builds brand desire and drives sustained and successful business growth.
Finally coming up for air following KACCL 2023, which was an incredibly special event again. Thanks to the generosity of the Kirklees and Calderdale business community we smashed last year's total and raised over £28,000 for our chosen charities this year; Project Youth Cancer and Project Challenge. The money raised will provide crucial support to teenagers and young adults facing cancer through Project Youth Cancer, and help empower disengaged 16-19-year-olds with educational opportunities through Project Challenge. KACCL has become a beacon of community spirit since we launched it in 2016 and this year's event brings the total funds raised to over £163,000 to help young people across our region. None of it would be possible without my fellow committee members Steve Crowther, Joanne Jones, Tracy Sheldon Dip IMC F IDM MIoEE, Shaun Guest, Nemi Alexis, Haroon R., John Williams, Steve Brighton, the Faith Brand Communications team and the local business community! (thank you Charles Maltby, Carl Sykes, Molly Turner, Sophie Morley for joining me this year)🙌🏻 #charityfundraising #charitysupport #calderdale #kirklees

Donating to help kids with cancer is obvious, but did you know there are many ways to give back? Here are a few to start: 1. Monthly Giving. You can set it, and forget it while helping families with housing, food, and transportation for as little as $1 a month. 2. Endowment Fund. A fund that grows and never goes away, so we don't have to worry about not being able to support families. 3. Keeper Society. Leave a legacy by making us a beneficiary of your estate. 4. Stock Donation. Transfer shares of publicly traded company's stock to help kids with cancer! No matter how you give or how much you give, you can provide relief and more time spent with their child facing cancer because of your support. Double your impact this #GivingTuesday week! We can't think of a more worthwhile way to support families with children battling #cancer than donating to Here to Serve, and it's never been easier to make an impact as all donations between 11/28-12/3 will be matched up to $25,000. There are too many families shouldering this burden alone. If you are looking to make an immediate impact, know that every dollar counts toward our goal of $30,000 to hire another care coordinator: 1) $375 helps to support one family for 6 months next year 2) $750 helps support one family for 12 months next year 3) $3,750 directly supports 5 families next year 4) $7,500 directly supports 10 families next year All donations today and throughout the rest of 2023 will go toward meeting the $30,000 threshold for hiring another #carecoordinator, who will provide support to another 40 families going through this journey. Help us make sure that more families have the resources and services they need, so they can focus on what matters most – caring for their loved ones. Donate Now: https://lnkd.in/gac33X5b
