"Over the past decade, EXPO Kraków, ICE Kraków Congress Centre, and Arena Kraków S.A. dla TAURON Arena Kraków have been serving the residents of Krakow by providing top-tier events. These three venues have become synonymous with musical inspirations, emotions, and unforgettable experiences, defining not only the cultural but also the business life of the city and the entire region" 💬 Yesterday, on April 15th, as part of the 10th-anniversary celebrations, EXPO Kraków, ICE Kraków Congress Centre, and TAURON Arena Kraków signed a Declaration of Cooperation, recognizing their strategic significance for the city. 🤝🖊 As mentioned during the meeting by Agnieszka Rozwadowska, MBA, this collaboration is an excellent example of achieving one of the goals outlined in the document 'Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development,' by the United Nations which emphasizes 🔷'Partnerships for the Goals' 🔷. In this case, our common objective is to attract as many visitors as possible and encourage the utilization of Krakow's infrastructure for event organization 💫 #Krakow #Partnership #Sustainability #Events #TargiwKrakowie

#GCBResearchInsights 🌍 International participation in German business events on the rise. 📈 At recent business events, nearly every 10th participant hailed from abroad. This resurgence in internationalization within the events industry is a promising sign, even though we haven’t quite reclaimed the previous record levels. 📈 However, this trend underscores Germany’s position as a top global conference destination, showcasing its strength and appeal. 🇩🇪 The growing diversity of participants enriches the experience for all attendees and is fostering a dynamic exchange of ideas across borders. At the opening ceremony Iñigo Urkullu, the President of the Basque Government (Lehendakari), highlighted the transformative power of the #Cultural and #Creative #Industries and their contribution to the cultural dynamism of #society, which is why, he explained, “we have broadened the scope of cultural policies to help stimulate industries based on creativity. Skaiste Knyzaite (Futurae Media) is one of the masterminds behind four international, premium conference brands: Energy Tech Summit Food Tech Congress Health Tech Forward Urban Tech Forward Two days ago, during the first day of Food Tech Congress 2024, I had this spontaneous idea to interview Skaiste around a number of topics where I find her views and international experience in organizing large, premium conferences especially interesting. To give you an idea of how spontaneous and unrehearsed our interview was, Skaiste knew none of the questions I asked her in advance 👏 Also, I literally wrote to Skaiste on LinkedIn with this "quick interview proposal" less than 30 minutes before the interview itself. Lastly, we recorded it without any cuts or second/third attempts. It actually takes courage and open-mindedness to do it this way, as I'm sure many of you know! 👏👏👏 Having worked with Skaiste on most of the listed formats (as #ConferenceHost #Emcee), for over 2 years now, I decided to ask her a few spontaneous questions about the #EventIndustry itself, about country-specific differences and the bidding/event-preparation process. We covered the following areas: 👉 Event brands in Europe (4 industries) 👉 International event organizer perspective (comparative) 👉 How do host countries/cities/venues/ecosystems support the process? 👉 Value proposition vs. value generation 👉 From Poland to Bilbao and Barcelona 👉 Who contacts whom, when and how. 👉 Unique Value Proposition vs. Cost Competitiveness 👉 The magic ingredients: industry specific, expo zone, highly customized, technologically-enhanced, great off-site experiences, premium, focus on business networking & new business development 👉 Local governments, hospitality and reputation: Poland vs. other destinations (“a little bit of attention”) 👉 The ecosystem: incubators, accelerators, startups, networking platforms 👉 The bottlenecks: unique locations awareness (incl. intuitive access to infrastructure information) 👉 "The Copenhagen Way” Poland Convention Bureau, Grow with Warsaw, Kraków Convention Bureau, Polish National Tourist Office, Polish Tourism Organisation, SKKP | Stowarzyszenie Konferencje i Kongresy w Polsce

Everyone is a producer of culture. When you travel to a European Capital of Culture, you want to experience the diversity of cultures. This includes the unique experiences, traditions and ways of life of the people in the destination. Together with the CWE - Tourismus | Marketing | Projekte, local service providers and residents, we are helping visitors to easily explore these cultural aspects through our platform and connect deeply with Kulturhauptstadt Europas Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH With other partners from the European Capitals of Culture, we have divided into these aspects and shared our individual experiences on the CulTourData projects: how to collect data and make it visible to everyone. These are the main lessons learned: - Involvement of the local community - Provide access to technical infrastructure - Make it accessible to all - Collect reliable data to provide a solid basis for decision makers There will certainly be more to learn between now and 2025! Thanks to the CWE - Tourismus | Marketing | Projekte team and especially to Boris Kaiser for the invitation and for a great time in Chemnitz.
