I'm running the next ALC in May which is about the work we have been doing in designing adaptive operating models and value streams. In this session I'll cover the lessons learned and approach we use, and some of the common design patterns that you can use when you are looking to design your organisation to unlock delivery velocity. Come along if you are free 7th May. https://lnkd.in/gVYYVhQz

Great talk about how to create fast flow by aligning Business, Product, Architecture and Teams (organisations), starting from #ddd and technical challenges. Looking at value streams is the key mental model. it is not trivial to manage this change and it requires true collaboration across functions. Overindexing on Business functions (like naive P&L reorg & local efficiency focus) can reduce quality, innovation and adds even more overhead. On the other hand Architecture has to built with a very clear idea of business needs and Product. Here DDD is of help, while only if you organize teams around the identified value streams - and keep reviewing this setup, it will yield fast flow.

Not the track you want to be on. 30-year UST is on pace for the 3rd worst annual return since 1919. While history is not a predictor of future outcomes, the chart below shows that there can be rebounds after steep declines. Will the tide turn or is this time different?
