🌍 Thinking Global, Acting Local: Cooperating for the Greater Green+ The global #climatecrisis and the need for deep social transformation to reach #climateneutrality by 2050 are daunting. It’s easy to feel local efforts are insignificant, especially in the face of rising emissions elsewhere. But rather than making excuses for inaction, we should focus on opportunities. While China leads in many areas of #cleantech and #renewableenergy expansion, Europe must forge its own path to align climate neutrality with inclusive prosperity. A key solution lies in regional cooperation and integration. Europe’s common market has driven growth, but cross-border value chain integration unlocks even more potential for sustainable development. The Interreg Grande Région - Großregion supported Greater Green+ project exemplifies this vision. Last week, I had the pleasure of presenting how SOLER Group fosters cooperation, integration, and sustainable prosperity in the heart of Europe. Our proposal to build #naturepositive value chains that support improved forest management and provide renewable carbon feedstocks for industries is a cornerstone of a nature-based, circular, and efficient regional economy. Thanks to Caroline Muller and Sasha Baillie as well as the teams of Luxinnovation GIE and Grand E-Nov+, l'Agence d'Innovation et de Prospection Internationale du Grand Est and a special salute to my friends and colleagues in #Luxembourg, #Belgium, #France, and #Germany. Earlier this month, ICMIF member Aéma Groupe signed, alongside more than 60 investors around the world, a declaration of support for Climate Action 100+'s work. Climate Action 100+ is an initiative that was launched in 2017 by several international investor networks to ensure that the companies that emit the most greenhouse gases change their trajectory. The objective is for businesses to upgrade their governance on climate change and contribute to cleaner energy. Among these committed investors are the Principles for Responsible Investment, a network of financial institutions supported by the United Nations... of which Aéma Groupe is an active member. Aéma Groupe says it was therefore only natural that it responded to this call, in a context where the #risks related to #climatechange are increasing every day and in the belief that working collaboratively with other investors through initiatives like Climate Action 100+ is one of the most effective ways to address both the specific AND systemic risks that the climate crisis poses to financial investments. #ResponsibleInvesting #SustainableInvesting

Le 4 juillet, Aéma Groupe a signé, aux côtés de plus de 60 investisseurs à travers le monde, une déclaration de soutien au travail de Climate Action 100+. Climate Action 100+ est une initiative lancée en 2017 par plusieurs réseaux d’investisseurs internationaux pour s’assurer que les entreprises les plus émettrices de gaz à effet de serre infléchissent leur trajectoire. It is really great and heart warming to see our #UKDeliveryTeam of Mace Arup and Gleeds initiating this Project, called APMD, which stands for “Abriendo las Puertas al Mundo Digital” (Opening the Doors to the Digital World). It aims to improve #educational and #economic opportunities for #Peruvian #communities with limited resources by implementing computer labs with #Internetaccess in remote areas of #Peru. The holistic approach of the #project makes it possible to integrate #students, #teachers, #communities, #stateoftheart #technology, #highquality #educational content, #knowledgesharing, and #sustainability.
