Happy to support! Enjoy UCA meeting this weekend! April 10, 2024 How Do You Spend $10? Maybe a snack, maybe to top off your car's gas tank, maybe a donation? Unfortunately $10 doesn't go too far anymore, but it can make a huge difference in our fight for higher reimbursement rates and heightened awareness for Urgent Care. By giving $10 and Taking Action today, you become an essential part of securing a brighter future for all of Urgent Care. Let’s stand together and make a meaningful impact! 🌟 Exciting News! 🌟 May 23rd isn't just any ordinary day - it's a day of transformation, a day of empowerment, a day of giving back. It's Spring Giving Day for the Grand Canyon Council, BSA, and it's your chance to ignite a spark of hope in the hearts of young Scouts across our Arizona communities! 🌷 Imagine a world where every young person has the opportunity to discover their potential, to embrace their unique talents, and to become the leaders of tomorrow. That's the world we're striving to create through the Scouting program. But we can't do it alone. With your support, we can make dreams a reality. Every gift made on Spring Giving Day will be matched 100%, doubling the impact of your generosity! Together, we can provide the resources and mentorship that young Scouts need to thrive. 💪 Scouting isn't just about learning knots and building fires. It's about instilling confidence, teaching resilience, and fostering a spirit of service. It's about shaping young minds and molding future leaders who will change the world. 🌟 As someone who was once a Scout myself, I know firsthand the profound impact that Scouting can have on a young person's life. It's about more than just earning badges - it's about forging lifelong friendships, overcoming obstacles, and discovering the true meaning of courage. 🙌 So, I invite you to join us on this journey of transformation. Reach deep into your heart and consider how you can make a difference. Whether it's a small donation or a larger contribution, every amount is appreciated and goes directly to support the Scouting program. Feel free to reach out to me via email at Gage.Rossino@grandcanyonbsa.org with any questions or if you'd like to meet and discuss how you can be a hero for our youth. Together, let's light the way for the leaders of tomorrow. Let's show them that anything is possible when you believe in yourself and in the power of community. 🌟 #SpringGivingDay #GrandCanyonBSA #SupportScouting Donation Link: https://lnkd.in/gwK5BtCM

📈 With 8,711 small businesses per 100,000 people, our state is a hotbed of entrepreneurial activity! But let's talk about the bigger picture. While more Black women are stepping into entrepreneurship, they face unique challenges, especially when it comes to access to capital. The 2023 State of Black Business report revealed that only 3% of companies owned by Black women make it past the five-year mark. One thing is clear… Black women are the fastest-growing demographic when it comes to starting new businesses. All they need is access to the right resources, opportunities, mentorship and capital. 👩🏽💻 This is everything we are doing at MMA. But we aren’t nearly done! This is a time to recognize and uplift Black entrepreneurs nationwide, and we need your support. 🏆 Partner With Us For Change 🏆 Donate: https://lnkd.in/gp5rPCxN Volunteer: https://lnkd.in/g9JK63tk

Kudos, Glossier, Inc. Grant Program For Black-Owned Beauty Businesses, for at least upping the ante in terms of grant size. I get really frustrated seeing the proliferation of female founder grant programs/pitch competitions with teensy weensy amounts, where we're expected to be grateful and compete for crumbs, while the VC funding banquet lavishes millions, nay, billions on white bro founders. Glossier is awarding four $50,000 grants and one former grantee $100,000 Alumni Award - at least that's not nothing. Visionary leader l Collaborative Architect | Launching Purposeful Programs l Harnessing Philanthropy
Excited to host our 2nd Reframing Philanthropy Session on the Solidarity Economy on January 24th at noon ET. The series is open to donors, grantees, professional advisors, and staff and board members of organizations impacted by social justice philanthropy. We hope you will find the series thought-provoking, challenging, and inspiring. Solidarity economies redistribute power and resources to those who have been most affected by various oppressive systems — and aim to meet the immediate material needs of a community. How can practices of grassroots democracy help to build a world beyond capitalism? How can grantmaking fit within this framework? https://lnkd.in/en7CurKr

I help mission-driven leaders and teams engage, connect, adapt and THRIVE through complexity & change.
This #InternationalWomensDay, I invite you to invest in Black women entrepreneurs. DID YOU KNOW → The typical white family has 10x the wealth of a Black family; Or that... Black women near retirement age have less savings than white women; Or that... having a college degree & being married don't improve Black women's chances of having wealth. As a Sustainer with the Tanna Fund, I invest in Black innovation and support phenomenal women-led businesses. The Tanna Fund awards microgrants to emerging and early-stage businesses, and we do this by harnessing the collective power of our community. Last year, we raised and awarded $5,000 to 8 Black-women-led businesses. This year, we’re deepening our impact – help us reach our goal of raising $10,000 by August 1. I contribute to the Tanna Fund as: - A women-own business owner I know how hard it is to start and sustain a business. - A person who benefits from generational wealth - I know that my business wouldn't have succeeded without investment from others. Join us as we grow this thriving, vibrant community of people committed to supporting and uplifting Black women! Nicole Andonie Jalisa Whitley, MPP Pooja Mehta Sophia Kerby, MBA [she/her] Elizabeth Dawes Gay Make a one-time or recurring donation using the link in the comments below.

If you were given 0.02% odds of winning a game would you play?🤔 Hardly an attractive stat right?🫣 but this is the stat that I face as a black female business owner if I am seeking investment in my business 😮💨 Yep! Not cool 😔! Statistics 📊 revealed that at the end of 2022 ethnic minority owned businesses received only 0.24% of all VC funding and of that number, female founders only 0.02%😫 Now you know how I am, I’m not going to let that keep me down! 💯 no way!! 🙅🏽♀️ But you can also now see why your support and investment, expecting nothing in return means so much to me🥰♥️🙏🏽 I appreciate you doing what YOU can do to help make sure that I don’t form part of that statistic!!🙏🏽 Those stats can be hugely discouraging and sends a message that maybe black businesses are not worth investing in 😩 but we all know that’s not true!! When Simon Squibb gave me just £5K and friends and family rallied together to make that £15k look what we were able to do in just 3 months! 💪🏾6 retail store listings 💪🏾 over 6000 patties sold 💪🏾 peaked interest from national retailers!! We know any investment in us will not be wasted 💯💓 and right now we urgently need to get funding to get us into a larger space to accommodate the equipment that we need to grow! So if you can give a few quid 💷 to support this female black owned business and share this in your networks, then you can help change those numbers!!! Donate here now: https://lnkd.in/edZ_jf37 Thanks in advance 🥰 #smebusiness #supportblackfemaleownedbusiness #funding #angelinvestors #venturecapitak #
